"Looking for a peaceful retreat on a quiet Maine pond? This is the place. This home had plenty of space with a fully stocked kitchen. Our teens enjoyed the supplied paddleboard and kayaks - you can get around the pond quite easily. We enjoyed watching and hearing the loons immensely. Plus we made a couple visits to "blueberry point" to taste what remained of some wild berries. Nightly campfires were customary and we were able to catch a large bass at dusk off the end of the dock (this late in the season, toss some stuff they haven't seen before - I used trout flies). Nearby is a short hike to Steep Falls on the Saco river. About 20 mins away is Douglas Mtn with a sweet lookout tower on the summit after a short but steep climb that will get your heart pumping. Full fledged grocery stores are about 20 mins away in a few directions, so plan ahead. Lois was a wonderful and thoughtful host, great communication and quite hospitable. We loved our stay 100% and you will too."

"Great place!! Loved everything except the steep staircase upstairs to really comfy bed but my boyfriend could not use the stairs so he tried the futon but it was very uncomfortable sorry to say. Everything else was wonderful. The place is beautiful inside and out."

"Host was friendly, professional, and prompt. Property was wonderful! Bigger than expected. Traveled with my (grown sons) and had plenty of space. Close to everything we wanted to do, and comfy enough to stay put and relax. Would DEFINATELY recommend and stay again."

"We loved this property - very well decorated, tastefully and warmly furnished, good lighting, excellent and spacious kitchen. The picnic table outdoors was our second dinner table to enjoy the views of the pond and surrounding forest.Property has a large dock from which to enjoy the sunset, the loons or the morning light. Excellent views of the pond from within the house too.Would thoroughly recommend this for a couple or small family."
