Through the glass fireplace, you can already catch a glimpse of the adjacent living room with its writing desk, where connoisseurs will recognise the designer’s signature style. The Samsung Lifestyle TV blends strikingly yet unobtrusively into the well-composed living space and opens the door to social media and entertainment in various formats.

Flowing lines guide the eye from the living lounge into the seamlessly designed dining and living area, where up to six people can sit comfortably and converse at a “dining lip.”
The well-thought-out design with its rounded lines guides guests into the kitchen, which is fully equipped with everything you could need. From the large induction cooktop—with a view across the terrace into the garden—to the ice maker in the refrigerator, every possibility is available here, whether it’s a multi-course dinner or a casual soirée among friends. Although you won’t be dining with gold-plated cutlery, the tableware is from renowned manufacturers. A wide variety of options are available for enjoying coffee and tea.

The path to the bedrooms leads up the curved staircase, past the guest bathroom, to the upper floor. There you’ll find two bedrooms with cosy, extra-long king-size box-spring beds and their own en-suite bathrooms. The sightlines offer exciting views: For example, you can enjoy a view of the Hörnum Lighthouse from the spacious infrared sauna, or see the North Sea with Föhr in the distance from the window and in the mirror during your morning routine.
All bathrooms feature floor-level multi-head showers, presented in an elegant combination of glass and natural stone tiles. In addition to spacious, indirectly lit closets, the bedrooms also offer dedicated workspaces for working from home. This ensures that fellow travellers can work undisturbed.
From the ground floor, the staircase leads to the spacious attic, which impresses not only with its roomy bedroom but also with its adjoining en-suite bathroom. In this living area, the herringbone parquet flooring, the illuminated roof trusses, the functional built-in furniture with an armchair, and the Frame Smart TV create a wonderful atmosphere year-round. From the desk, you can enjoy a view of the North Sea, the dunes, the lighthouse, and Hörnum Harbour.

The newly landscaped garden, featuring a wooden deck and outdoor furniture, is bathed in sunlight throughout the day. Even during the colder months, the south-facing orientation creates a soothing play of sunlight throughout the entire house.

A cosmopolitan, practical living experience and a holiday in the heart of Hörnum—surrounded by the North Sea and fantastic beaches: The on-site car park, complete with its own charging station for electric vehicles, offers space for three cars. But you don’t really need a car, because restaurants, cafés, a bakery, a fish market, a newsstand, and a retail store—as well as the Wadden Sea, a golf course, a spa, and surfing and sailing schools—are all within walking distance.

In 2022, the beach house—where the longtime captain of the customs vessel Kniepsand lived for over 50 years—underwent a complete renovation. The new owners have designed the house exactly the way they like it. Now they open it up occasionally to guests who, like them, are drawn to Hörnum.
