Be an inmate for a night...

It was an interesting experience to sleep in the old jail. I spent a few hours in the museum the next day. The room and facilities were like a hostel, you share a bathroom and shower stalls. There was a picture of a former inmate, and a record of his treatments on the wall, for your entertainment and learning benefit.

Somewhere different to stay

Fascinating experience to spend the night in a cell in the old prison. Quite a walk to get to shops and restaurants, (I was cycling) although there is a community kitchen that was OK.

De første par dage havde jeg bygningen for mig selv, så der var meget stille. Indretningen på værelset er spartansk, men stilen på stedet er gennemført. Man kan læse små plancher om tiden, hvor stedet blev brugt som fængsel. Det er muligt at låne cykel til at komme rundt i byen, og personalet er meget søde. Mit eneste kritiske punkt er, at der er meget lydt. Det er ikke noget problem, når folk forsøger at tage hensyn. Men en gruppe unge mennesker (folkeskoleklasse på udflugt?) på min sidste aften dér var højlydte med smækkende døre og løben frem og tilbage på gangen til ud på aftenen. Det er ikke Fængslets skyld, men snarere et generelt problem med visse typer gruppeadfærd.

Middelmådigt ophold i en spændende kulisse

Meget lydt i bygningen, larm når døre blev smækket i og folk talte sammen på gangarealerne. Ikke så fedt kun at få 6 timers nattesøvn. Beskidt på gulvpaneler og koldt i cellen ved ankomst. Men spændende at opholde sig på stedet

Praktisk til overnatning. Køkken med køkkengrej. Varmt vand i brugseren. Meget små toiletetter. MEN alle døre er med automat luk som klamre højt. Det kan høres i hele bygningen. Det sker døgnet rundt. KÆMPE gene.

En fængslende oplevelse

En skæg og anderledes måde at overnatte på. Vores søn på 6 år var meget fascineret over stedet og dens historie. Et rigtig godt alternativ til den traditionelle overnatning på et hotel.

Fornuftigt valg af sovested

Rammerne er lidt usædvanlige, forholdende lidt primitive og hvis man går efter tre- eller firestjernede forhold, så er det ikke her man finder det ( skrevet med et smil ). Stedet holder lige nøjagtigt, hvad det lover og der er rent og pænt. Man fornemmer stadig den lidt dystre stemning, som et gammelt fængsel har.
