We had a wonderful time. The area is very peaceful. Check in was easy after we remembered code (cell service for us was not great). My wife loved the coffee bar and wants to put something similar in our house.
We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO! The property was exactly as described—clean, well-stocked, and super comfortable. The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to explore but still quiet and peaceful. The host was incredibly responsive and made the check-in process seamless. We really appreciated the little touches that made it feel like home. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway
This place was the perfect place for my daghter and I. Shannon has put some very nice touches into the place, making it feel homey and comfortable with plenty of privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The cabin was in a quiet area, great water views. It was a great location for our family to explore the Keweenaw Peninsula. The cabin was as described. Great communication from the owners. Would highly recommend and will keep this place in mind on our next trip to the Keweenaw. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We rented this cottage while visiting our son at Michigan Tech. Clean, cozy, cute! The lake was so peaceful and relaxing to look at while sitting in the rocking chairs drinking coffee and also having a small bonfire. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a great stay! Family said this was a great choice and that they would love to stay here again!! Fished off the dock(perch, sunfish, bluegill, catfish, and a 28" pike all caught off the dock; did some kayaking & paddleboarding; agate hunting @ Agate Beach & Calumet Waterworks Park Beach; Yooperlite hunting @ Calumet Waterworks Park; and a little bit of relaxing;)
We enjoyed our stay at your home, it was just as advertised, clean, cozy, and comfortable. My husband especially liked the recliner chair after a long day out exploring it felt good to relax and chill. We were pleased with the communication! This was a good homebase for us as we had never been to Michigan before and wanted to do a little exploring. Thanks for sharing your place with us. We really enjoyed our time here.
My husband, parents, and I spent 4 wonderful nights at this charming property. We absolutely LOVED it! The lake was a beautiful and relaxing setting to unwind after a day's adventures. We really enjoyed fishing off the dock and cruising on the pedal boat. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a stress free stay. The hosts were gracious enough to refund us after we had to cancel the last two days due to an unexpected death in the family, which was very much appreciated. Would highly recommend this place and hopefully we'll be back someday!
Found much to do on the Keweenaw, especially with Shannon's helpful book of top places to visit. Hungarian Falls hike, the very interesting Quincy Mine and MichTech Mineral Museum, and McLain State Park are within 20 minutes and the hikes, kayaks and beaches of Copper Harbor are about one hour. If you want to venture further, the scenic drive to Pictured Rocks is a manageable 3 hours. Our first time to UP--we enjoyed everything and learned so much. Always pleasant to come back to this lovely cottage on a beautiful, quiet, dark lake. If it's clear check out the Milky Way. Beautiful! Great getaway!!
The location was perfect for exploring the Keewenaw Peninsula. Home was cozy on a beautiful lake. Second time staying and plan to stay again in the future. The owners are friendly and great communication. Very seamless check-in process.
This cottage is very nice. Super clean. It’s on Portage Lake and pretty secluded. We didn’t see any neighbors in the week we were there. I would definitely stay again!
Shannon and Craig's place is a perfect headquarters for exploring the Keewenaw. The cottage is cozy with great views of the lake. My kids had a blast paddling around in the kid kayaks. Would definitely stay again!
