Looking for a cabin to rent in Michigan's Upper Peninsula to enjoy the upcoming "Vacation Season", well you have found it, welcome to "Huron Bay" located on beautiful Lake Superior. Our Vacation Cabin named, 'HERE ON THE BAY', is just 12 miles NE of L'Anse, MI., offering breathtaking sunsets, tranquil star-gazing, serene wildlife and the bay's many moods for you to enjoy.

Use the cabin as your base while exploring Baraga County. Spectacular waterfalls, scenic viewing, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, unbelievable fishing, kayaking, boating, cross country skiing, hiking, mountain biking, small game/deer hunting, & exploring are among the many pleasures of Baraga County; your 4-season wonderland. The cabin is a stone's throw from the 'Huron Bay Trading Post' gas/convenience store, less than 1 mile from 'The Finns' bar/restaurant and only 3 miles from 'Witz Marina'.

'HERE ON THE BAY' Vacation Cabin has all the comforts of home with a great room, children's game room, 3 bedrooms, electric cedar sauna, 2 bathrooms; fully equipped kitchen with microwave, coffee maker and crockpot. The cabin also includes Free WI-FI, Direct TV and a Land Phone Line. Outside amenities: patio furniture, gas & charcoal grills, yard games and fire pit, (firewood not provided). Enjoy our new "PADDLE SHACK BAR" down by the lake. There is a gas fireplace in the great room to warm you on those chilly northern nights. Towels and sheets are provided along with a washer & dryer.

Start your day with coffee on our large wrap around deck, while you enjoy the quiet of the Northwoods. Two pullout couches offer extra space for guests to go along with the 3 bedrooms. Included on the property is a dock, boat lift and garage space to work on your snowmobile or 4 wheeler. The bay is an excellent all season fishing spot for walleye, lake trout, northern pike, bass, perch & whitefish, (ice fishing is a must).

Fantastic location. House needs a little love

We loved it here! Beautiful location and many things to do. Grandkids fished off the dock and we caught rock bass, catfish and a perch. House is great for cooking and hanging out with many games, puzzles and down time activity options. Tile in one shower was broken and we weren't able to use. Should be fixed soon I hope!

The wife and I loved our stay! The house is well stocked with anything you’ll need to sleep, shower, and cook. There’s a good board game selection and the tiki bar/fire pit area is great. Great location, we will be bringing the UTV or boat up on the next stay for sure.

Labor Day Family Vacation

We had an amazing weekend at this vacation home. It was well equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the sauna and the warm superior water! The view from the home was amazing. We also enjoyed the kayaks and all of the yard games available.

Great Stay at the Bay

We had a great stay at this property. Was In the perfect central location to everything we wanted to see while in the UP. Owner was speedy with all communication when messages where sent prior to arrival with questions. My kids loved the back yard. The access to swim, kayak and outdoor games were very popular. The hook and ring game especially. House was clean.

Amazing!!!!

Wow!!! By far the best location and amenities we've had the pleasure of booking. The property owner stopped by and shared a couple pics of the Northern Lights we had seen the night before. He was extremely kind and welcoming. This house has all you need and more! The kids especially loved being on the water. The kayaks were a huge hit. Wifi was great. Matt, thank you for a great vacation. We hope to be back someday!

Yooper life

Even though it was a beautiful family rental, we spent most of our time outside, enjoying the beautiful lake, the tiki bar, the fire pit, there were yard games, there was a nice new grill, the fishing was awesome. We brought our own boat and there was a boat landing not far away and a dock at the rental that we could tie it up on. The Upper Michigan beauty from the boat is beyond compare. Also the convenience store just up the hill gave us access to worms, ice cream and more alcoholic beverages . No complaints.

Nice view, non communicative host!

Overall this was a pleasant stay. Comfortable furniture, good view, well stocked kitchen. Clean but dated. Our major complaint was a complete non response from the host either by text (my phone said read within 5 minutes) or through message on VRBO. The bad: no place to plug in the tv and dvd player in the upstairs kids room. No connecting cable from dvd to tv in main living area. Fireplace wouldn’t wor, only one of three bulbs working in light over dining table, no shade on lamp in double twin room and one of the closet bifold doors missing. Lamp in upstairs tv room had to be plugged in and unplugged to use since the switch was inoperable. No available plug in in master BR to charge phone or use Cpap had to unplug house phone to use that outlet. No screens on sliding doors pre ending ventilation unless you wanted to fight flies. The Wi-Fi code provide by the email from VRBO was wrong but was corrected in the book at house. All these things were a comedy of errors and we wound up having a good trip. If the host had responded and rectified any of the issues we probably would’ve been satisfied. Radio silence by the host was the crucial negative. I don’t know what would’ve happened if we’d had a Major issue to deal with.

No complaints, hope to return, a bit dated, but fun , clean and inviting. Stuck up folks might complain, but if you are down to earth, it is an awesome vacation spot. Saw and heard loons every day, bald eagle regularly swooped in, Canada geese, squirrels, and other wild life was abundant.
