"We had four families with grandkids ages 1.5 to 10, so the number of cottages was perfect. The lake was nice and sandy and shallow for the little kids we had there! They loved playing in the water, kayaking, paddling the water boards and fishing with our boat. We had a lot of things to do there such as shuffleboard (which is actually a lot of fun!), the game room with a foosball table and ping ping table. We played a lot of games! "The hotel has an awesome location on Houghton Lake. But i was going late in the season and the weather wasn't good. The reason i picked the hotel was for the new pool and hot tub. I got there on thursday and the hot tub was out of service until monday. They said the pool was heated, but definitely was not warm.They also didn't clean the room. I later found a 2 sided doorhanger on the floor that you were supposed to set on the door to get your room cleaned. I like the hotel and the location and i will give them another chance. But i will dejinitely call closer to checin to see if hot tub is working."
