Da Boat House is nestled right on the Bayou to give you perfect views of glorious sunrises, afternoons in the shade and nights to watch the moon reflect on the ever changing current of the Bayou. Fishing is without end, relaxing, reading a book, meditating and thoughtful conversation filled our days with time and space to renew or souls. The hosts offered a “Live like a local” guide that is spot on for all the Bayou is known for including delicious Cajun food and local charm. We encountered friendly smiles and waves everywhere we went. You are only a 45 minute drive to the busy city of New Orleans for more excitement. Staying in a house boat on the land was so much fun! The accommodation is so well thought out with all the extras beyond what an impersonal hotel provides. The property is well manicured and very loved with brilliant color. Quiet, personal, cozy and comfortable are just a few words to describe our stay. We will tell everyone we know and make plans to return! You do not want to miss the one-of-a-kind getaway!
