Everything about Granville House is delightful. The owners have paid attention to every detail, from the decor and the way the rooms are appointed to the comfortable bed and the delicious hot breakfast.

I’m a former travel writer and hotel reviewer at the NY Times Sunday Travel and I’ve been coming to the Berkshires the past decade. This is the hands down the best B&B in the area. The decor, the ambiance, the artistic details, the warm customer service, the made-to-order gourmet breakfast next to a wood-burning fireplace - all make this place so cozy and truly unique. Listen to the jukebox or play billiards in the inn’s great room. Or lounge beneath the heat lamps on its wraparound porch. You won’t be disappointed!

Absolutely perfect

This inn is an absolute 10. I loved everything about it: the decor, the comfort of the room, the innkeepers, the location. The breakfast is amazing and really, the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had. Seriously. If you’re in this area, this is the place to stay.

Details, details, details!!! This amazing bed and breakfast was hosted with class and charm combining music, literature, and just natural beauty with the elements. The intentionality to detail for guest enjoyment really made an impact on our stay; the breakfast was perfect- great flavors from the rosemary infused sea salt to the special breakfast muffin- so simple, yet, so tasty! The room was complete with comfy and classy bedding and bottled water! The decor was interesting and fun! We plan to return to this home and stay for longer!!

Perfect B&B with the Perfect Hosts

Highly recommended! We loved our stay at Granville House. The hosts were incredibly nice and so helpful. The breakfast alone is worth a visit. Terry's famous olive oil muffins are NOT to be missed! The rooms are clean and well-decorated, and the location is perfect. Close enough to restaurants, shopping, hiking, and Tanglewood to be convenient, but far enough away to be peaceful and relaxing. The entire place has a music theme, which we really loved. The rooms do not have TVs, but they do have turntables, and they have a bunch of great vinyl records to choose from. We listened to REM's Out of Time start-to-finish. It was a great way to end the day.

It was my birthday and my wife I on spur of the moment decided to do something special. We googled Inns in the Berkshires and of course there are many. We came upon The Granville House in Great Barrington and we liked everything we saw so we booked Room 5, packed our bags and hit the road. Terri and Terry are the hosts and met us at the door. They gave us a quick tour of the house and it's simply spectacular...really well decorated. They have a pool table on the first floor and a working Juke Box. They also have record players in each room and a great selection of vinyl albums. We grabbed a John Coltrane, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Jackson Browne. Our room was fabulous, beautiful hardwood floors, large bathroom with a humongous tub, which we took advantage of that evening. The room was spotless and again extremely well decorated. We had a great evening, bed and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast is included and that did not disappoint. We both had omelets and just baked muffins...it was delicious. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend.

Few B&Bs get better the second time. Granville House is such a place. Every detail and nook and cranny are so thoughtfully decorated, every accent piece seemingly lifted from an architectural magazine, it makes it hard to leave. Bonus points for hosts who treat you like family. My gf and I will be coming back for sure!
