Let me start by saying this place looks dirty/run down from the outside. I booked this room at 8am morning of check in after most of the city lost power due to passing storms. I called the hotel at 2 to confirm my reservation, & see if the room would be ready early. I was told it wasn't ready, which was fine, confirmed reservation. Get to hotel at 3:45 their are 8 guests in the lobby waiting to check in. Rooms are still not ready, I'm told give them 20mins. 45mins later they start checking in guests. When they get to me I'm told sorry your room isn't available. The manager told me some of their guests that were scheduled to leave that morning decided to stay, which is why they didn't have a room for me. I was offered a room with 1 bed. If it would have just been for myself that would be fine, but it was for my family of 5. When I said that wouldn't workd, she did "I'm sure you can understand". I told her I absolutely did not! When those guest that were scheduled to leave said they wanted to extend their start they should have been told I'm sorry but the room is not available we are completely booked. Then those guests would have had time to make other arrangements. When I told the manager that, she told me she wasn't going to go back and forth with me and that my room reservation had been canceled and I would be refunded. Management waited until 4:45pm to tell me I didn't have a room. All the hotel within 100 miles were completely booked.
