I recently stayed at this Marriott property in the Galleria area and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. The rooms have been updated with a very modern, stylish aesthetic, and I especially appreciated the Japanese-style toilet—a thoughtful and unexpected touch.
I also really enjoyed the lighting in the room. It creates a great ambience and allows you to set the mood depending on what you’re doing, rather than feeling like you’re sitting under harsh, clinical hospital lighting. Those little design details make a difference and give the room a much more comfortable, contemporary feel.
I thought the room rates were very reasonable considering the overall aesthetics, location, and quality of the property. Interestingly, I found the best rate through Expedia. Even as a Marriott Bonvoy member, I found it more cost-effective to book through Expedia than directly through the Marriott website, so it’s definitely worth comparing rates before making your reservation.
Another nice touch is the cooler in the room, which is convenient for storing beverages or a few snacks during your stay. I was only there for one night, so I didn’t have the opportunity to experience all of the hotel’s amenities, but my overall impression was very positive. The front desk staff was welcoming and accommodating.
Another big plus is the parking. The self-parking rates felt very reasonable compared with many hotels in the area, where parking can easily run $55–$65 per day. They also offer guest parking
