"Delightful shepherd’s hut set in the mid-Wales countryside. Well equipped and maintained and very comfortable, it was just right for our long weekend visiting friends in the area. The bed was comfortable and the small kitchen and shower room met our needs. We benefitted from excellent weather so were able to take full advantage of the terrace which overlooked a field of buttercups and the nearby hills."

"Our fourth stay at the Metropole in recent years.A privilege to stay in such a unique historic building,with yes a little patina around the edges.If you dont embrace the nostalgia then budget chain's are available.The staff here are so good,as is the breakfast and the pool and spa facility.A great location for roadtrips around mid Wales,and a huge car park."

Breakfast included - a wide choice - the full english if required! Coffee muslei and fruit for me was just what I wanted. Excellent place, I would definitely stay at the Mount Inn again."

The owners were very welcoming and friendly, they just couldn't do enough for you. The house has so much charm and character, with a lovely garden and seatting/dining area. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well kept, as was the whole place. Breakfast was beautiful too. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a cracking B&B in Builth.
