"This is not what some would call a 5 star hotel but if you are going to Baxter State park it is a good place to stay. It is an older facility and the owners live there and they are very nice and them and their staff are helpful and nice! They have a wonderful laundry which is important for us when traveling. Their continental breakfast is adequate. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We lived Baxter State park! Hikers and hunters stay here. We met 2 boys that were hiking the Appalachian trail! So at first we weren't sure, but in the end very glad we stayed here!"

The view is absolutely amazing, listening to the loons, fishing in the lake, paddle boarding and canoeing, and our dogs had an absolute blast playing in the lake (they remembered from last year!) "It was a get away to a quiet place with a lot of unique features. There is a walking path lit with colorful leds, that was fun to stroll. The out house is funky but very clean, a very rural experience. The cabin was very nice, almost like palacial tree house but on the ground. It was warm enough and I slept well too. This is a get away spot, I recommend, part of which what is not there makes it special. Waldon Pond in a field! I could easly spend a week there doing my writing & a artistic retreat."
