This immaculate two-bedroom/one-bath vacation rental is situated on the shores of beautiful Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. It features comfortable accommodations and stunning wide-water and mountain views! Perfect for a family getaway, Cedar Key Cabin includes one queen-size bed, two twins TV, VCR, DirectTV, internet access, central heating and air-conditioning, open beams, and hardwood floors. The home sleeps 4 persons comfortably.

Outdoors there's a deck with a charcoal grill and patio furniture. And there's a shared dock which is great for swimming and boating. Cedar Key Cabin is near the mountains and the Smith Mountain Lake dam and also located in a "NO WAKE" cove which is ideal for swimming.

Welcome: Cedar Key Cabins are two immaculate vacation rentals located on the shores of beautiful Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. In addition to comfortable accommodations, you'll also enjoy stunning wide-water and mountain views!

Smith Mountain Lake is a boater's and fisherman's paradise. There are 500 miles of shoreline on this 40 mile long, 20,000 acre lake. If you have your own boat, you can launch it at nearby Mitchell's Point Marina and dock it at the Cabin's dock. Boat rentals and wave runners are available at several lake locations. From our location it is about 1000 feet to the main channel of the lake. For the fisherman, we are located on Witcher Creek where the stripers spawn. The lake is stocked with bass, muskies, northern pike, and other small game fish.

Dog friendly!: Dogs are allowed on the property and have a wonderful time at the lake. However, please do not leave them alone. Even though your dog may be comfortable alone at home, dogs are often frightened when left in a strange place and can cause substantial damage. Cats are not allowed.

GUESTS SHOULD BRING LINENS (ONE QUEEN ANDTWO TWIN BEDS) BATH TOWELS, WASHCLOTHS, DISH TOWELS, ETC. Linens may be provided for an additional $80.00 fee.

Always a wonderful stay!

We always love staying in Cabin 7 and we had beautiful weather on this particular trip. The views of the lake and mountains are breathtaking and we feel immediate relaxation when we arrive at Cedar Key. Can't wait to return for our next trip!

Perfect Place for a Family Vacation

The cottage is located in a no-wake cove that is perfect for swimming, floating, paddle boarding, and kayaking. The hosts were excellent with communication from the time of booking and during our stay when we had questions. As noted by the hosts, you will need to bring your own bedding and towels. Our entire family, including the dog, loved our stay here. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We'll definitely be back! As an aside, the listing states there is a pull out bed in the sofa, but based on the photos in the listing, I believe the owners updated their furniture, so this is no longer true.

Beautiful views and close to state park.

The cottage was quaint and in a wildlife preserve. Enjoyed seeing the birds and wildlife. The dock was very nice. It was a great get away! Would definitely go there again! We really enjoyed being able to bring our dog. He had such a great time swimming and seeing all the deer! The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked and grilled almost every night. (FYI we got a list of amenities and it was supposed to have a coffee grinder. Bought great coffee beans and then were unable to use them because there was no grinder!) The one downside was the cottage is in need of a few upgrades. The tub didn't drain well, so you're standing in water while you shower. Very few electrical outlets and the owners used the multi plug adapters everywhere, including on an extension cord. Big fire hazard! Needed more explanation on how to use the direct tv. We're unable to access the wifi for the first 3 days. Not sure why but the cottages wifi wouldn't come up as an option on our phones or iPad . Overall, a very nice cottage!

We had the most incredible stay at this cabin on the lake. It was cozy, spotless, and beautifully decorated everything felt so warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The view from the cabin was absolutely breathtaking; waking up to the peaceful lake each morning was something we’ll never forget.One of the highlights was being able to bring our boat and keep it right at the dock. The cove we were in was perfect quiet, calm, and safe for the kids to swim, explore, and play all day. They had the best time, and we made so many special memories here.If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway with comfort, charm, and stunning scenery, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

First Lakeside Vacation

I was pretty pleased with location. This was our first vacation together as a couple and with our dogs. We had a wonderful time and wish we coule have stayed longer.

Hidden vacation gem!

My family and I stayed at this property and we had the best time! We were with 2 other families that stayed in cabins 1 and 5 and the kids loved running back and forth between cabins. Very secluded and safe. I'd recommend renting a pontoon boat- don't forget a boating tube and floats/noodles! The kids also loved fishing (lots of little bluegills and a few bigger bass). Also dont forget to bring life vests bc the water gets really deep really fast (14 ft off the dock- the neighbor told us) so we just kept the kids in those when on the dock/boat or in the water. Anyway, the property was just as it was listed and more. They thought of everything! The bench outside has grilling tools and a chimney which was very helpful. Thanks for the great time!! We couldn't have asked for a better place!

Great Location

Location on lake was great, close to the marina and restaurants. The cove was a no wake zone which made it nice to float peacefully without waves and we had a spot to tie up our boat to the dock. The cabins were closer together than I thought but we got lucky with no one next to us. Will definitely rent again!!!!

We had a great time staying at the property! Our daughter loved going down to the dock, swimming and feeding the fish. The cabin was well stocked and comfortable. The views are amazing. The entrance to the cabin is not wheelchair accessible due to two steps but the cabin and dock were very easy to manage in my motorized chair.

A quiet get away

We thoroughly enjoyed this out of the way property for some peace and quiet. My husband really enjoyed this cove where he could safely maneuver his way along the shore line to watch for wildlife. The cabin was just right and well stocked with everything we needed!
