The hotel was perfectly placed in the town for bars and restaurants. The apartment was fine for two adults and was well equipped. View from the balcony was great looking out over the mountains , the staff were very helpful. Will be coming back again.

We spent a week skiing in Alpe d’Huez and had a fantastic stay at Pierre & Vacances Residence L’Ours Blanc. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, always helpful and pleasant.The location is excellent, right in the centre and just a short walk from restaurants, shops, and activities such as the swimming pool and the ice skating rink. The apartment was very well equipped. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals, and it was great to have both a filter coffee machine and an espresso machine available. The living room was comfortable with a TV and a nice area to relax after a day of skiing. The residence also has self-service laundry facilities, which was very convenient during our stay. Overall, it was a very comfortable and practical place to stay and it really added to our experience in Alpe d’Huez. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

Nice stay, kept spamming me after

I don't typically leave reviews. I had a nice stay, but then the property kept spamming my Hotels.com messaging center with ads to stay at other properties they own in Europe. I reported it to Hotels.com, but continued receiving spam, 3 messages in total, even a month after my stay. Thus I'm forced to leave a less than ideal review. Don't spam paying customers who did not agree to marketing communications.

Trångt och ganska slitet

Bodde i Alpe d'Huez under La Marmotte och detta boende är väldigt enkelt. Det finns fyra sängplatser, men det går knappast att vara mer än två personer i lägenheten. Det märks att boendet är gammalt och det var längesedan det renoverades.

Nous avons fait le choix d’une résidence Pierre & Vacances car nous avions une expérience préalable agréable. En revanche, la résidence de l’Alpe d’Huez semble ne pas être entretenue. La propreté de l’appartement quand nous sommes arrivés était loin d’être parfaite.

It is a basic accommodation but has everything for your stay.

We enjoyed our stay.The negatives... It didn’t start well as I got a smack in the face from the pull out bed which split the inside of my lip. Quite traumatic at the time. I believe a warning on the handle would have been appropriate. One of the lifts had a faulty door which remained unfixed. A couple of the buttons on the floors were also broken. The room was basic, having to put our bed up each night. As we were on the street level it did get noisy with people coming back from their night out. The positives... the kitchen area had everything you could need for home cooking. The bath and shower were welcome after a days skiing. The ski room was good and handy to return to after skiing. The staff were helpful. Conveniently placed for the lifts and the shops.

Parfait !

Appartement au top pour un week-end à la montagne, avec une terrasse vue sur les massifs !!! Très bien situé, accueil téléphonique et explications parfaites ( nous sommes arrivés dans la nuit), pour un tarif raisonnable, je recommande cet établissement et y retournerai avec plaisir !

Overall the hotel is good value for money and in a good location (close to bars, restaurants and lifts if skiing). Ideal for a group of friends. Don't go expecting a five star hotel but it is a good base for a ski holiday

Affordable, Basic but good enough

Have stayed at L'ours Blanc several times, the combination of price and location has always been attractive. Well located in the middle of the town near to the ice rink, swimming pool, ski hire, restaurants and shopping. Access to the slopes is normally quite simple, either by bus or you can ski to a nearby lift and access the main slopes in around 10 minutes, although not this year due to lack of snow. The accommodation is basic and in need of a little refurbishment. The beds have firm foam mattresses which suited us, lots of storage space for clothes and at 500 square feet, just enough room for the 5 of us. The location is quiet, there is a hotel adjoining the residence where you can have breakfast which worked well. Apart from a lack of snow we had an enjoyable time and would return.

Helt greit leilighetshotell. Litt gammelt, men helt og pent. Passer nok bedre til skiferie enn TdF ferie. Da skulle komfor vært bedre:)
