"We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was well-equipped with plenty of supplies and kitchen items. The rooms were all very nice and spacious. The hot tub and sauna were nice perks and there was plenty of space outside as well. The best part was that the parking area was quite large so we could fit multiple cars."

"The cabin is an absolute gem tucked away in the heart of Afton, Virginia! We truly enjoyed the peaceful, serene mountain escape while also keeping us just minutes away from local amenities, scenic hiking, and the famous Route 151 wineries, distilleries, cideries and breweries. Loved the historical charm of the authentic pre-Civil War log architecture which provided a nice balance of rustic feel with incredible character and modern comforts. We had a wonderful time exploring the area and all that it has to offer and then unwinding at the cabin. The wrap around porch provided the best views of the gardens, mountain and wildlife. We evening saw a sweet deer family walking through the property. Thank you, Kate, for the opportunity to spend alittle time at your cabin and enjoy alittle slice of heaven!!"

"Beautiful home! Comfortable mattress. Great communication with host. House is very close to Upper Shamokin Falls and Morgan’s Loop. Fire and Frost has good wood fired pizza. Would definitely stay here again."

"The space both in doors and out doors was great for our family. We especially enjoyed the huge table on the deck with the day bed. The location is fantastic. It's on top of the mountain where the temperature was much cooler yet still close enough to the many activities nearby. Our favorite activity was picking fresh flowers at a farm. On the flip side the appliances were disappointing for a house of this caliber. The refrigerator took more than 24 hours to cool down and our ground beef actually went bad. The stove never got off pre-heating in bake mode, we finally figured out it worked better on convection. Overall we had a blast and enjoyed the property."

"This place is very well located for the Afton/Crozet/Nellysford attractions, especially breweries and wineries. Very serene and well appointed with nice, thoughtful touches. Hosts are very attentive and available should the need arise. Great place for a mountain getaway!!"

"We were on a Mom and sister’s getaway after a rough year. This log cabin was so perfect for us. The deck outside overlooks the woods where we saw some surprising wildlife and sat and listened to the birds and wind in the trees. The bedrooms were cute, and comfortable with nice touches. Big table to dine and play games along with a complete kitchen with every we needed. Nathan was very responsive to my questions. Great area with enough to keep us busy or not. My Mom couldn’t stop saying how much she loved it there."
