Had a wonderful stay, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed the friendly bartender, who always smile and story to tell, enjoyed the hospitality. Place was clean, but couple things need a little TLC. Overall we really enjoyed our brief vacation and would go back.

The resort is older but needs updating . No elevator but worst thing was the walls are so thin you can hear everything. We changed rooms as the people next to us were super loud. Than we had again problem people next to us and had to call the front desk. After a warning it was better. Room is nice and clean and staff helpful but people do not seem to respect others. So we will not stay here again as it is not a cheap hotel and was super noisy and not a nice relaxing stay.

Great staff, nice location, close to Algonquin park and to town. Facilities are great for the whole family. I come here a lot with my kids…everyone is kind…Charlean, Karen, and everyone else whose name I didn’t get.

We enjoyed gorgeous lakeview, pool, jacuzzi and sauna. We stayed in this resort in low season, in mid November. We liked it so much that we stayed a second night and are making plans to come back during ski season

The hotel is located in an awesome environment. There is a very beautiful private lake and beach behind it.

Old place that definitely shows age..
Was ok for one night visit but I don't know if I could've done multiple nights in the place. Not the most comfortable beds with loud AC unit. Toilet that barely flushes. Overpriced breakfast buffet that was worse than some of free breakfasts served at other places.

Stayed for one night. The room was average. Bathroom tub could have been cleaner. There was unfortunately no elevator so had to carry heavy luggage up and down a flight of stairs with no assistance. Otherwise an okay experience for a one night stay

Overall, if you are craving a run-down 3rd-world experience in Canada combined with lazy/indifferent service, visit this place! -Sink tap only dispensed hot water from both the Hot and Cold taps for one night. It was Hot and Very Hot instead. Worked properly the next day. -Bathroom fan very weak, no fresh ventilation in room without opening balcony door. -Bathroom sink drain very slow -Bathroom door misaligned - doesn't open/close without significant force -Water damage on ceiling in room and holes in wall where a picture/fixture was previously hung but broke(?). They didn't even bother trying to patch the holes. -Dirty/stained hall carpets -Ice machine broken on our floor. Had to go down two floors for ice every time (no elevator) -halfway down the hall there are dirty old vacuums and disgusting-looking cots visible in the (out-of-order) ice-machine area. -No ice tongs for ice bucket. Not even front desk/restaurant had a pair -Ice bucket completely uninsulated plastic - so ice lasts a very short time. -Canoes/Kayaks only available 9-5. Front desk staff uninformed about availability -taxes charged on resort fee. NOT shown in xpedia - extra $3.9/night nickel-and-diming -Wedding and receptions on both of the days we stayed, with crowds of people smoking in front of the front door and unruly drunks and teenagers. No additional entrance to avoid the clouds of smoke with my young children. [much more to complain about, but the review max is 1500 characters]

Fantastic property - fall colours were on full display - wish we had more time. Hotel is very clean but many areas show some wear and tear and would benefit from a renovation. Staff was super nice.

The resort was a bit run down and needs some repairs and updating. The inside of our bathtub was all chipped and the carpet seemed dirty. The bedding had a few stains and the door to the room and bathroom both were difficult to close. The woman bartender seemed to be in a bad mood and told us that she was tired after we ordered 1 drink.

Employees frequented their lounge room outside my room and left the door open. Noisy until 11pm Saturday and again at 7 am Sunday. Rooms are very dated. Peeling tub layer. Toilet tank seal rarely seated without help and kept trying to fill. The least favourite item was the $30 charge for parking, Wifi and use of water crafts. A hidden cost that should be included since there was NO option to forgo it.

The beds were comfortable. There was a wedding with some unruly guests,late night noise. The building and grounds are rundown. Breakfast was cold, not really worth $15. The front entrance was lined with badly imstalled fake grass. The tennis court light was held up with a cable ( hazard). Nice area but the resort needs a major overhaul.
