"The room was large, clean, and well furnished. We were able to get adjoining rooms with our daughter and her kids for a fun time in Des Moines. We arrived on Friday and we were able to park in the lot next to the hotel. It was only about half full and the spaces were large enough. The only difficulty was figuring out what to enter and where to enter it when we entered the lot the first time. Place the room key card against the flat pad. Don't try to put it in the slot like we did the first time. Of course, it would have been better if parking was not an additional $30 per day."

"The only disappointment was regarding the Speakeasy. The hotel website did not clarify that seating was very limited to not available at all. The was no open bar and only a handful of tables that required advance reservations. We had planned our trip and told our guests that the Speakeasy was our central meeting place and then none of us could get in. If you need an open bar to meet friends this is the wrong place. We should have stayed somewhere else."
