Right off main highway so was a little noisy at times. It does have a restaurant but any other options are a bit of a drive. Room was very clean but there was an odor in the bathroom. At times it smelt like sulfur and other times like cat urine. For a one night stop it was clean and easy to find. I wouldn’t stay here more than one night. But it did the trick!

My husband and I stayed at this place for our first night traveling around the ring road. The employees were super nice and very helpful. Would stay here again. The bbq burger was delicious!

The hotel has a restaurant and an common area with hot water boiler and a refrigerator upstairs where the guestrooms located. This is very convenient, especially for a group of travelers like us.

The property was right on Route 1. There's a restaurant on the first floor and they have really amazing food. There are lots of places to go to, but you’ll have to drive by the mountains which all had mostly paved roads.The room itself is clean. There's a common room for coffee and tea, and a fridge that can be used. The staff were friendly.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! The room was very clean and comfortable, and the view from our window was absolutely beautiful—definitely a highlight. There’s a restaurant on-site that looked great, though we didn’t have the chance to try the food this time. One thing to be aware of: there are stairs to get to the rooms, which made carrying luggage a bit challenging. Also, the parking lot is a bit beat up with some uneven spots, so just be cautious when pulling in or walking through. Despite those minor issues, the overall experience was great. A peaceful, scenic place that we’d definitely consider returning to.

There’s no getting away from the fact this is an isolated spot, but we knew that when we booked. The in-house restaurant has a great choice of dishes and our food was lovely. Nice communal lounge for guests to use. Great choice for those travelling the ring road

My stay was ok. The outside of this hotel needs urgent renovation. The inside is nice but the room and bathroom was really small, couldn’t open my bag. Bed was good and breakfast was basic but good.

Every thing was great although the Hvammstangi address was confusing for non-Icelandic folk. The room itself could have had some more light so we could see a bit better

This is a hard review to leave. The staff was fantastic. The restaurant was also fantastic. The rooms were yuck! Our room smelled so bad we had to sleep with windows open in the cold. The rooms are just in horrible shape. The worst of all our stays in Iceland. But for sure stop for dinner!

This was a good stop on the ring road when there are not many options in the north. Room was clean, cozy comfortable and adequate. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was very good. Breakfast was greatly appreciated, but there was not as many options as other hotels we had stayed at previously. Overall a good choice for a one-night stay.

The place was a bit rustic, but we enjoyed our stay. The attached restaurant was good and served a simple but nice breakfast. The hot water in the bathroom gave off a sulfur odor due to - I think - geothermal heating. Overall, though, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Rakennus on vanha ja kaipaisi remonttia. Kylpyhuoneesta tuli sänkyyn homemainen haju. Huone oli pieni. Ilmanvaihto vähän huono. Hinta-laatusuhde ei ollut kovin hyvä. Nukutti silti hyvin ja aamupala oli ihan hyvä. Palvelu ystävällistä. Ravintolassa söimme reissun parhaat burgerit.
