I feel obligated to post about this place considering the June 2026 post giving it a 2. Six of us stayed here this past weekend and it is a very nice beach house. Is it perfect? No. The AC could use an upgrade and the beds were a little uncomfortable. The primary bedroom could use a king bed, a new mattress and bedding at this price point. But we found it very clean. There was a new refrigerator in the kitchen, the bathrooms were all very nice (3.5 bathrooms). Yes, the floors were a little uneven in spots but it is an older house built on a beach! There was no molding separated and the primary bathroom was very nice and new. The location is amazing. The view from 2 bedrooms is spectacular, looking out on the bay. The deck is also amazing - an incredible spot for gathering, morning coffee, or conversation. My daughter said she would’ve loved a lounger to lay in the sun, but there were 4 adirondack chairs, 2 with footrests that were very comfortable. There was a beautiful back yard with grass to throw the frisbee, football or whatever which we did. We also enjoyed the grill and a picnic table outside for dinner one night in the cool air. The house is homey without being too antiseptic. The gathering spaces are great - we loved the living room, dining room, and deck. And it is 10 minutes to Hyannis airport (HYA) and about a mile to Hyannis inner harbor w/ good restaurants. Our group gave it a solid 8 out of 10.

This was our first visit to Cape Cod and the first time we have used Vrbo and Vue Stay. The pictures of this house look nice online, and although the price for renting it was high we believed the description would justify the cost. The house is obviously an old construction. It was extremely musty, and the floors were so uneven that multiple doors would not close. Molding was separating, as was drywall at some corners. It was difficult to even walk through the house. The shower in one bathroom was at such a slant that it was challenging to stand and not slide to the opposite end. The mattresses were very firm and the beds were rickety and noisy, making sleep very difficult. The refrigerator made loud groaning noises. Although generally clean, one bathroom had a dirty sink with hair behind the faucet. After the first night we decided not to stay for the remainder of our reservation and left the next morning. We still have not been able to get an answer on a status of our refund for over a week after we left. This house is WAY overpriced for the quality of the home!
