"We stayed in Helena, it was very clean and well equipped. Concern about escape routes in the event of a fire. Some rooms didn’t have a large enough window to get out of. Swimming pool great, as was the hot tub. Lovely setting near Blandford. Would recommend getting shopping delivered as quite remote. "

"Bensly Cottage is a wonderfully cosy and characterful place to stay that is within easy walking distance for everything in Sherborne including the castles (and only a couple of minutes walk from the abbey). It makes it an ideal place to stay if you want to explore Sherborne on foot. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! "

"The en-suite room in Fiona's home was perfect for our short stay. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and we had a lovely peaceful sleep. "We had a great weekend here with friends, lots of space inside and out and so close to the beach and other local activities. The hosts were great at communicating and we had no issues during our stay. Although we had a bit of a surprise when the 2.5 bathrooms turned out to be 1 shower room and 2 small loo rooms without any loo role - which for a house accommodating 12 was not what we had anticipated! "

"We stayed here for the late summer bank holiday so the property was busy. That being said, the staff were friendly, available, and helpful. It almost felt like we were staying with really hospitable family! The dining area was extremely well appointed and clean. There were even options for gluten free diners. There was an amazing assortment of fruit in the fridge. The room we stayed in was clean and had ample space for us. The ensuite was recently renovated and was very nice. There were very nice details in the sleeping area including individual reading lights and shelves next to the top and bottom bunk to store things. The only negative point was that the bed could have used a new mattress. Location wise, we were very near to the beach (approx 5 minute drive). We felt safe. There was parking available in front of the property. Overall the visit was great and we would happily stay here again!"
