"Not the property itself, but allow extra time for taxis to arrive. Best to ask the front desk to reserve a taxi and time for the next morning. No Ubers or Lyft in Gib. Taxis don’t “roam” the streets, must be telephoned. Great hotel staff."

"This hotel is up very steep roads and driveway. If you don’t have transport you might want to consider staying elsewhere. It’s a beautiful old building which, in my opinion, has been ruined by laminate flooring in rooms/shower rooms. In the shower room it is difficult to reach the toilet paper whilst seated, behind you and to the left. There is little space to put your toiletries in there and the towel rail is too high for someone who is 5ft 2in. No shower caps are provided but the toiletries provided by the hotel were very nice. We ate in the bar the first evening and found staff weren’t the friendliest. We had burgers which were ok but dessert was very disappointing. My husband ordered apple pie and custard which came with a spoon of custard, a spoon of ice cream and a squirt of cream. What’s that about? I had parfait which was tasteless and the base was dry sponge. There were small black insects flying around and trying to get at the food and drink. I won’t stay at this hotel again. "

"The most stunning location.We have been coming to Gibraltar for 17 years to visit friends.Last year we lost our last dear friend but still felt the need to come to Gib this spring.The sunrise straight in front of the apatment and smell of the sea is just amazing. The beach feels like our own.Carols apartment has everything you could want Beautiful and clean.Its lovely to see Joshi each time to pick us up from the airport.We have booked for September again.We just love it here.
