Iceland Arena

You cannot check in any earlier than 4:00. The lobby and the 2nd floor area was full of people waiting to get in. We ended up sitting on the floor waiting till 4:00. Some people in our area called the hotel right before 4:00 and were told they would have to wait no early check in. So, 4:00 arrives and the lobby area is packed with people waiting to check in. Finally, 25 minutes later was given my keys. We had 4 people in our room and were told only 3 towels and 2 facecloths and hand towels available. If we wanted more we would have to come downstairs or call for more. This made no sense to me. Staff were very nice as they had to deal with unhappy people which was not their fault. I will not be coming back to this hotel.

Too ultra-modern for seniors! Some amenities had to be explained. How to turn power on, how to find tv shows, how to turn the shower on, etc. My wife complained about NO stool or foot rest in the shower while shaving her legs!! Breakfast buffet was overdone, too much. A nice restaurant would have been good.
