Front desk is the only place where you are not greeted or treated very kindly, most of these girls have attitude. I had a question and went to front desk and instead of resolving the issue, they were giving me more issues and were really rude, I had to stop them immediately I guess they forget that they are not doing you a favor, you pay to be there! The only 2 people in front desk who are nice are Stefany and victor. Other than that, I stay in this place 3-4 times a year but next time will think about because of the issues with the people in front desk "

"Pros: superb location, hotel amenities, rooms are comfortable, service is good, beach is great, pool is big enough to be comfortably enjoyed, breakfast has good variety! Cons: food needs to improve and the cocktails as well! Both things were a bit disappointing… ceviche, empanadas, margaritas, burgers, mules, fish, etc…"

"I have been to the Lodge at Pico Bonito several times over the past 9 years. There have been many improvements in recent years. They have maintained the beautiful Honduran mahogany cabins in their original design and function. The rooms are certainly large enough. The bathroom is rather small, but adequate. Because every room is in a thick, mountain rainforest, they are rather dark. Not all the lamps worked. Ceiling fans and A/C were good. Some would call the rooms rustic. Even a rainy hour gives you a chance to listen to the jungle while lying in a hammock listening to the bird and watching the agoutis. The grounds were meticulously manicured, with beautiful plants and tropical blooms at every turn. Cacao trees filled the forest as well as tropical birds and animals. Guided hikes, spa, exhibits of butterflies and local reptiles and snakes. This is not an inexpensive facility, but I felt it was worth the price for a relaxing and interesting place to visit. Almost every employee I met was bilingual in Spanish and English. Good WiFi, no TV in rooms. The food was good with sufficient choices for dinner. Service is excellent. Well-stocked bar and cellar. On our recent trip there during a national holiday, it was a full house, but we never felt crowded. We rarely saw other guests except at the pool or in the spacious restaurant. "

"This is wonderful for what it is, a rustic beach stay. Pros: The location is amazing. The staff were amazing! Loved to secluded feel and enjoyed the hammocks and watching the humming birds. Walk to everything in just a few minutes. What it is not: This is not a resort with luxury linens and a polished feel. Think of your great uncles old and comfy summer cabin, the sink maybe chipped, there’s no tvs and it’s just basic accommodations. With all that we loved it! My teen boys said they would stay there over a posh resort any day and I agree. "
