This was one of the most beautiful and serene places we have stayed! After a full day of cycling Shimanami Kaido, we had the opportunity to unwind at Yu-rah and there is so much beauty. The artwork inside of the villa and the nature outside made this one of our favorite places. Highly recommend!!

Our stay at Yu-Rah was a dream. Every detail was considered in designing the space; from the breathtaking views of the sea from the bathtub to the earthy scents from the tatami mats. We were impressed with the well-stocked kitchen and even the inclusion of a bluetooth speaker!

My husband and I stayed in the mane villa for one night while cycling the Shimanami Kaido. It has a beautiful, quiet location, and the villa itself is meticulously designed and well equipped. The soaker tub was wonderful after a long day of cycling and sightseeing. Perched on a hill, the property offers a beautiful sunrise over the sea and is a comfortable place to enjoy a slow morning before hitting the road again.

An absolutely beautiful spot.
Amazing property! Hosts have been very generous providing refreshing snacks and drinks in this beautifully appointed suite. Everything has been thought of…bluetooth speaker, lighting, a wine fridge, outdoor seating. Bravo.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was our overnight halfway thru the Shimanami Kaido and it was such a wonderful place to rest. The views and especially sunrise are without equal! We regret not being able to stay at least 2 nights.
The villa is equipped with everything you need to make your own meals, do your own laundry, lounge wear etc. They even left us a few beers, orange juice, specialty jam and honey samples and enough food for our breakfast this morning.
We will absolutely be back and will stay more than a night!
If you have the chance, book more than one night - you won’t regret it!

The villa was amazing with the most stunning views and very well equipped with all modern conveniences. The bed however was a Japanese style futon on the floor that was not comfortable at all with one thin pillow, both my wife and I did not sleep well which was disappointing as we were half way through our bike ride and needed a good sleep. Otherwise the villa was quite unique and well appointed and decorated.

Immaculate and private. Apple map location was not correct. It is located about 2.5 km on the main highway southwest of Kamiurachoseto which is great but was difficult to find without this info. Well worth the hunt. Best location we have ever stayed in. Will be back!

An excellent place to stay if you’re biking the Shimanami Kaidō. The views are breathtaking, and the apartment is incredibly comfortable. I especially appreciated the washer and dryer — a huge plus after two full days of intense cycling. The attention to detail, stylish decor, and overall design are top-notch. Highly recommended!
A couple of things to keep in mind: (1) the property is located at the top of a hill, so getting there requires a bit of a climb, and (2) the nearest convenience store is about 20 minutes away by bike. That said, these are also part of the charm — the elevation gives you those incredible views, and the distance from town makes the setting peaceful and quiet.

This property has the most incredible views I’ve ever seen. You wake up to the most stunning scenes and can even watch the sunrise from your futon (would recommend). We arrived to a fridge full of ingredients to make breakfast which was an especially nice touch. There was a guide book left for us which had all the information we needed, including nearby restaurants. We stayed here as a mid-way point from Imabari to Onomichi because we were doing the Shimanami Kaido cycle route and it was perfect. The area is very rural so I would recommend purchasing food before you arrive, however, we were able to get a taxi to the supermarket just fine. There is also a Family Mart that is reasonably near. It’s a super quiet spot but perfect for what we needed. Very clean and well thought out. Definitely stay here if you get the chance!!!

This is a unicorn of a rental. If it is available for your stay, just book it. We rode our bikes here while doing the shimanami kaido bike route and while it was a tad uphill (no worse than the bridges), this place was pure Zen. The view, the unit, just wow. If you don't have a car, make sure you buy some food/drinks before heading up as there is nothing for quite a distance. Very special place.
