"We were immediately at ease when Tavanna messaged to give us so ideas for stops on the drive. Both Tone and Tavanna met us on arrival and showed us around; the beach is truly so close! We loved making fires on the beach, collecting eggs with Tone and the Gorge walk. The apartment was well set up and the kids enjoyed having their own room. Wifi is slow (but this is NZ, so that makes sense) and there is no oven, but it was very comfortable for the 3 nights we stayed.We loved staying here with our kids and would happily do so again. The hosts are so welcoming but give you your space and it is truly amazing to have your own private beach (or do it feels!)."

"This was a journey break going from Punakaiki to Akaroa so it was only one night. We did the Devils Punchbowl at Arthur’s Pass before checking in and then the next day we did the Cave Stream Scenic Reserve (note: lambing has shut the stream exit from the cave Nov to Feb but continue around the path system to where the river flows into the cave system and you can get some great pictures without going in). Back to the hotel - very friendly staff, simple menu for dinner and our lodge was well equipped and very comfortable. (Say hello to the Moa’s)"

"Fully equipped unit, had an accessible room with shower stool, rails beside high toilet and doors wide enough for wheelchair, use of laundry and lovely, accomodating staff where nothing was a problem. Appreciated their personable service with my mum who is in a wheelchair. Cleaning staff were helpful and accommodating also. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!"
