The Cabot Shores Wilderness Resort was far more dated and rustic than the website or brochure show. I was surprised when we pulled in. We rented a Dome and it was patched up with duct tape. On one night I woke up to water dripping on my face through a patched leak. The Staff onsite were lovely and kind. We were left towels for the hot tub and for showers. The bed in the Dome was comfortable. The outhouse washroom was clean and did not smell. We talked about returning but we would be better equipped for the amenities.

Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Beautiful location, but it was not worth the price. The property looked much better in the listing than it did in person. The gardens were not well maintained, the shared bathrooms were not clean enough, and the facilities near the dome were not very practical for women. For nearly $300 per night, I expected a much higher standard and a true resort experience. Overall, I was disappointed with the value received.

Hidden jem

Myself and husband, had most enjoyable time. Right as we checked in, the staff was so warm and welcoming! We had dinner which was great, and even was a nice surprise had live music with dinner in a beautiful dinning room. The Dome was so comfortable and clean, and could hear waves and watch stars! This Something we never did before, now can't wait till next time! Great idea for lodging!!!
