"Great family stay! The kids wading pool was amazing for my kids, definitely a nice touch. Our room was great: comfortable, clean and spacious enough for a family. The staff were lovely, breakfast was good enough for our needs. Applebee's next door was walking distance, nice after a long drive and not wanting to get back into the vehicle for dinner."

Spectacular Lakefront Retreat on 2 acres~ Perfect Large Family Getaway

"Shady Nook was the perfect home and location for our bi-annual family reunion. Our group of 26 included ages 10 months to 83. We were all very comfortable and even had empty beds! Shady Nook feels more like borrowing a friends house than a rental. The kitchen was very well stocked and even included many of the spices that we needed. The back porch is amazing and became our favorite hang out spot.We used the loft over the garage for two families with small children for the quiet. The loft does have a kitchenette, toilet and sink and there is a full bathroom in the garage convenient for showering. There are three bedrooms on the main floor which was great for our less mobile family members.We had not visited Pickerel Lake before and were shocked by how clear and clean it was. We rented a pontoon and took many trips around the lake. There was also a fishing group that had very good luck every time they went. Having access to tons of inflatables and yard games kept us all busy. We spent hours floating on the maui mat. Perfect place for large groups!"
