Cosmic Crab Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were all excellent and helpful! Had friendly conversations with a bartender, the owner, and his daughter. She was very helpful in her suggestions on local places to eat and things to see. In addition, the meals from the kitchen on site are top notch. I was pleasantly surprised after thinking the prices were a little on the high side, but the portions and the quality are worth every dime. Everything we had was superior and fresh. Property was clean, even though showing its age. Was priced right for what it is! If I had to find a negative, some of the wooden walkways (going to gift shop and to Butterfly room) are super slippery and need a pressure wash. Great island adventure!"
"This was a fabulous place to stay. We had a partial ocean view room, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The air conditioning was very good, and the hotel had bright, modern design with incredibly welcoming and friendly staff. Cafe overlooking the bay was also nice."
"We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely return. While the ocean isn’t suitable for swimming, being outside of town was actually one of our favorite parts. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves from our oceanfront room, and the wildlife right outside our door made the experience even more memorable. We saw sloths, monkeys, lizards, and a variety of beautiful birds throughout our stay.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We visited during rainy season, so the property was peaceful and relaxing. The food was excellent, with beautiful presentation, and the staff was always attentive and eager to make sure we had a great experience.
A few team members who really made our stay special were:
* Choy (Manager): Exceptionally kind and welcoming. He truly helped make the resort feel special.
* Katie (Kitchen): Always friendly, smiling, and a pleasure to see.
* Fernando (Groundskeeper): Constantly hard at work with a smile on his face, keeping the property looking absolutely beautiful.
One suggestion I have is one regarding the bathroom door. It uses shutter-style panels rather than a sealed door, which allows the cool air from the A/C to escape into the bathroom. Sealing this off would help the room stay cooler and improve efficiency.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book here again. It’s a beautiful, peaceful place with outstanding staff that made our visit truly memorable."
"Hello,
I wanted to share my thoughts on my recent stay at Nowhere, which was truly a unique experience. The facility itself felt wonderfully lush and immersive, almost like stepping into a jungle. While I typically opt for all-inclusive resorts when I travel, this time I wanted to try something different, and Nowhere certainly delivered. The setting offered a secluded, off-the-grid atmosphere that was perfect for relaxing, yet it was conveniently just a short 7-10 minute drive from town.
One aspect worth mentioning is the lack of air conditioning. Although this was clearly stated in the advertisement, my unfamiliarity with Panama's tropical climate made me underestimate how essential AC would be. Given the humidity and heat, it was a bit uncomfortable at times. Aside from that, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with anything we needed. The owner was especially delightful to speak with and provided helpful information about the surrounding areas.
Overall, I would rate my experience at Nowhere an 8 out of 10. It offered a refreshing change from my usual travel choices, and I appreciated the tranquility and hospitality.
Best regards,
Wynonna Perez"
"Excellent location and overall clean. We enjoyed our stay there. It was quiet and surrounded by trees but short walk to Skully's - a good bar & restaurant by the beach and short taxi to the town center. The dipping pool was nice. Bed and bath were comfortable. The room was clean but it had a musty smell like it needs airing. The kitchen is located outside and was well supplied with kitchenware. We didn't get any advance instructions for check-in so I had to call the property owner for instructions. The owner was otherwise responsive via Whatsapp since then. The signage and entrance to the property can be easily missed, and we had to direct our taxi drivers where to stop (Skully's is a landmark they're familiar with. We just ask them to stop before it). Overall, I recommend the place and would return again."
Feel right at home in paradise in the eco friendly, off-grid home on Isla Colon.

"Jane was an amazing host! Responsive and informative-house was absolutely stunning-views incredible-everything you need-water was SO clean AND warm :) Jane sent links for tours, needed walking maps, numbers for water taxi and other valuable suggestions. Couldn’t have been better. We were two families with the other family staying in an adjacent rental (that host didn’t compare and was pretty intrusive-cameras everywhere, had an “inspection” upon leaving, hovered….no comparison). Thank you Jane for a wonderful vacation experience!"
