"Well-located hotel with a pretty courtyard , rooftop terrace and historical significance. Amenities basic (just soap shampoo and towels) but the shower was hot with good pressure. Breakfast also basic but well balanced with fresh fruit, fresh juice, bread, eggs and sometimes humitas. They offered upon arrival complimentary wine as Expedia VIP perk which was nice (some VIP hotels don't remember to recognize it). Staff were helpful to store my medicine in the hotel fridge and book a ride to the airport (who showed up on time).
One downside, noise control. It's very quiet generally but since the rooms face the court yard when the reception phone rings any time of day it echos. There was a tour group staying there that met for a departure briefing in the courtyard at 5:30 am and we could hear everything. I don't know what the hotel can do other than to call for courtesy.
Overall, id definitely stay again."
"Unique property, wonderful staff, well kept. Clean room very soft and uncomfortable mattress. Breakfast was very good but other meals or not very good."
"Everything was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel. Staff was very accommodating. They even delivered a boxed breakfast at 3 AM so we could be on our way to the airport. Just an amazing experience."
"Beautiful hotel with great views of el Panecillo. Right within the centro histórico so lots of sights and museums are only a short walk away. A lovely breakfast, friendly and attentive staff - and great value!"
"I loved the suite i stated at, just perfect, the bed, Lightning, bathroom, the feeling of the house, the Design, absolutely gorgeous.
The house wine was amazing, highly recommend it. The staff was wonderful, very helpful, from the front desk to the bar and all in between."
"We chose to stay here on both ends of our Galapagos trip. With no preconceived ideas of Quito, we weren’t sure what to expect, from the city or the hotel itself.
We were more than pleasantly surprised by both. The hotel was perfectly located within the Centro Historico, and provided easy access to most of the sites in Quito. Historic colonial architecture, a lovely interior courtyard with daily offerings (chocolate tastings and wine tastings), a small bar pouring the best Pisco Sours we’ve encountered in this trip combine to make this a comfortable and welcoming home away from home.
The rooms are very well appointed with massive beds, spacious bathrooms with walkin showers and ample room to spread out your luggage to organize for your next destination.
The hotel staff was extremely responsive and accommodating, especially with their help arranging transport to/from the Quito airport.
We would definitely stay at Las Casona de la Ronda if our travels ever bring us back to Quito! 5 Stars!"
