Our stay was wonderful, it was easy to get to town and near hiking trails which we loved. The property is beautiful and a great place to relax in the peace and quiet. Great place to stay!
We all loved our stay! Owners are so nice! Peaceful! Beautiful home! Nice yard! Had everything we needed and more! Beyond any expectations! Comfortable beds! Comfortable everything! Loved the decor! Enjoyed everything! Thank you so much for letting us stay!
Todd is an amazing host. The property is on a main road but once in the drive you can no longer see the road. It's absolutely heavenly. All the things you need are there. It's absolutely peaceful and location is great for fishing, nature, relaxing,. We loved our vacation here.ou4 dogs also loved sniffing out all of the new smells we also were able to enjoy the bunnies one of which was a snowshoe.
we enjoyed our stay! the property was great, private, spacious, the yard was neat, house clean everything we needed as far as cooking and kitchen supplies! Loved getting to walk around the property as well as letting the dogs swim in the creek, dogs would give it 5 paws!
My wife and I decided to stay at Todds cabin and it was an amazing two days . There was plenty of wildlife in the yard and was a great central location for everything that we wanted to see and do. Todd was very inviting and we felt very welcomed , we would definitely stay there again.
While located in a remote area, (20 miles from a large grocery store) it's worth the commute to activities for the peacefulness. The house itself is well stocked with needed provisions with enough space to spread out when needed or gather for group activities.
When you’re looking to get away from it all you go to camp. We enjoyed hiking around the property and campfires in the back. Found an almost complete snake shed, left it there to add to the collection of “trophies”. Host was great! Very responsive.
The place was as advertised..rural, clean, everything worked, Owner pleasant and helpful. Could have used a bit better condition cooking utensils, small frying pan broken handle, other pans old with chipped teflon, etc. but as expected kitchen utensils fragmented and put together but all ok. Cutting board huge and badly stained. Otherwise, all ok. Enjoyed our stay. Used as a "home" base for other UP explorations
We had 5 people and 7 dogs staying here and it all worked out great. Plenty of space for the dogs to run and for everyone to sleep comfortably. Iron Mountain is only 15 mins away and the Randville Bar (5mins away) has an amazing Friday Fish Fry. We explored all over the area and educated birds near and far. The little stream holds brook trout when in season. The Northern Lights were amazing to witness on multiple days while we stayed there. Todd was a great host and showed us around the property.
There is no wifi or laundry machines so be prepared. Cell signal is lacking as well. The tv is satellite so bad weather can influence that signal.
We saw plenty of wildlife while exploring the area from eagles to piebald deer. All in all we would 100% come back.
Property was very easy to find, despite GPS being inaccurate. It was overall a very quiet location, with some light traffic noise.
House was clean, aside from a few small things in the kitchen, which were no big deal. The taxidermied animals went unnoticed in the listing photos, but we got used to them, and should have expected them in an up north cabin. We did see a couple of mice in the house, but given the location we weren't surprised. Homeowner was notified upon check out.
No bears or other wildlife (aside from one garter snake) were seen on the property - the snake was outside, so obviously that wasn't an issue; it was fun to watch the dogs try to figure it out.
Very nice place to stay with pets! Plenty of maintained yard away from the road for pets to wander safely.
The river wasn't really accessible, except slightly at the driveway bridge - maybe we weren't looking in the right spot? It wasn't something we were super interested in, so I didn't ask.
Homeowner was kind, very easy to contact, and was responsive to all of our messages.
The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our trip. Todd is a great host - very accommodating, and was very easy to reach when I had any questions.
