"I would not stay here again. Communication prior to arrival was non existent after multiple attempts through email, WhatsApp, phone calls and IG. The transportation and tour booking help that was promised in their description was therefor not met. Upon arrival I mentioned this and the response from the manager was that yes, this is known issue but there was nothing they could do. This property will undergo major renovations in the fall and it seems they will just coast until then. The room was very very hot, the fan was not sufficient for me to have a good night sleep. Many insects in the room at night as the screens and door seals were not sufficient. It was very loud and disturbing being under another room. I could hear conversations clearly and simply walking around sounded like the ceiling was bout to come down. Unfortunately I didn’t dig deep enough in my searches of reviews but if you look across multiple booking sites and google you’ll find all these same complaints. Hoping this review helps others avoid the same mistake. "

"The cabin was clean and the views from the balcony were amazing. The beds were comfortable, but the rugs on the wooden floor were incredibly slippery. It was not fully what we were expecting based on the description of the room we booked - the description said there would be aircon, microwave and TV, however these were not present in the room. The fans were just about enough to keep us cool overnight, however were not enough for during the day. The bathroom was fine - but be aware it does not have the screen/mesh that the bedroom does, and the walls do not meet the ceiling, so bugs/mosquitoes are able to get in - not ideal if mosquitoes find you as tasty as they find me. There also was no handle on the inside of the bathroom door, so no way to fully close it quietly or to lock it from the inside. It would have been nice to have had directions on how to find the hotel directly from the beach beforehand rather than walking along the road. The hotel is in a good location for the beach and there is a supermarket and restaurants close by. "

"The cabina had an extra extraordinary view. We loved that the bedrooms were closed off and did have air conditioning, but that the rest of the unit was completely open The house cleaning staff did an excellent job of cleaning every morning I had laundry done, and it was very reasonably priced and done very well The unit is within walking distance to almost everything but best of all the beach is right there!"

"We absolutely loved the eight days we spent at this incredible house. Our hosts were very welcoming and met us when we arrived. I had a few questions while we were there and got responses almost instantly.The house was spotless. There wasn't anything that we needed that they didn't have. The pool was fantastic. There wasn't a single day that we didn't swim or chill in the pool. We enjoyed seeing the toucans and other local birds that came around every morning and evening. We even had a coati come visit a couple of the days. One evening we could see howler monkeys in a tree down below the house. Not only was the house great, but the entire area was wonderful. The people were friendly and welcoming. If you're an animal lover, I suggest a tour of Hacienda Baru, which is about 20 minutes away. We used Freddy Cascante. It was our favorite activity for the two weeks we spent in Costa Rica.We wouldn't hesitate to come back to this beautiful property. It's easy to feel the pura vida spirit here."

"The welcome by being collected on the beach and having our luggage taken to the room was a nice touch. The room itself was clean and the view was gorgeous. We were disappointed with the general service, particularly in the hotels restaurant. We booked a table on the first evening and it wasn't ready when we arrived, with the staff seeming stressed at our arrival. We were sat down 15 minutes late and the food took over an hour to arrive, during which time we were not visited once by the staff and the tables around us were left dirty. This was despite the restaurant being quite empty close to the end of service. There wasn't many staff available on site to talk to, and it felt like quite an inconvenience to them when you had a request. This does not include the girl who was volunteering with the hotel who was very helpful."
