"This rental was one of a kind! We were capping off our honeymoon in Bay Roberts and attending a friends wedding and this felt like the perfect place to stay to get the true Newfoundland experience. It did not disappoint. The views are incredible, the set up of the house is great and practical. It was just two of us so we didn’t use all of the bedrooms, but the primary room was great. We loved the deck and the views of the ocean from it, and loved having the ability to cook our own meals, watch our own tv and movies, etc. Worth noting: The house has quite a slope, and the photo listed of the exterior stairs down to the ocean is a 5 minute drive down the road, not on the property! But, this allowed us to explore and see the beauty of the landscape. We had a lovely time, and this was truly a highlight! "

"You don't stay here with expectations of grandeur. You stay here for home cooked food, amazing Newfoundland hospitality and some of the most real people you will ever meet."

"It is an excellent location and the limited service available was friendly and helpful. The rooms don't have a mini fridge and in this hot weather it was definitely missed. We had to purchase ice and use a waste basket. Also, no tissues. Such a small thing but one of those things you don't realize you need till it's gone. Checkout for me was an issue but I would stay here again "

"A great house in a great central location for exploring. Everything was as advertised and we had everything we needed. Port de Grave is a beautiful little fishing village within walking distance, as is Green Point Lighthouse. We stayed for 4 days and did day trips to Bonavista, around the Irish Loop, and to Cape Fear before an evening in Quidi Vidi and St. John's. This is a great spot if you want to see lots without having to move houses. We visited Mad Rock Cafe in Bay Roberts for lunch one day and toured around Mad Rocks. Mad Rock Cafe is a MUST!Gordon was very responsive and ensured we had everything we needed. The house and location are great! Would definitely stay here again."
