Welcome to Grandpa's Retreat — your classic Island Park cabin escape.
Tucked among towering pines near the base of Sawtelle Peak, this beautiful full-log cabin is perfectly located just minutes from you,Yellowstone NP, the Henry's Fork of the Snake River, plus groceries, gas, restaurants, and recreational rental shops.

Inside, the cabin opens to a spacious, light-filled great room designed for gathering and making memories. Cozy up by the stunning stone fireplace in the living room, or enjoy friendly competition around the pool table and large dining area. The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops, modern appliances, and plenty of space for multiple cooks.

Wonderful place to stay. Very private surroundings. Close to stores and restaurants.

Happy with gourmet kitchen. Plenty of room for our family of seven. Would recommend a new mattress on guest beds at top of stairs. Made lots of great family memories and took in lots of sightseeing! Would stay here for future vacations.

Wonderful house

We had a great time and house is beautiful. Awesome pool/ping pong table. Bedrooms were very comfortable. No AC upstairs but open windows at night and it really cooled down. Good location to get to West Yellowstone entrance of the YN Park. Very quiet location so it was relaxing sitting out on back deck

Yellowstone adventure

The cabin was beautiful. We loved the wood work and details. It was close to the little store and the main road through Island park and yet it was surrounded by woods, giving it an isolated feeling. I loved the back porch, the space and the gathering areas. The kitchen table made for great visiting with family over our meals. Easily accessible to the West entrance of Yellowstone, Mesa falls and our favorite Coffee pots trail.

Grandpa's Retreat has all you will need!

Grandpa's Cabin allowed us to gather as a family in a gorgeous setting close to Yellowstone National Park. Our time spent there was priceless. Everything about the cabin made us smile- from the stunning craftsmanship, carved mantle and gorgeous artwork, to the rustic dishes and billiards table with the buffalo nickles! We loved this cabin and our stay. The place is incredible and we would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area. So much space and comfort plus the detail inside and out is just so amazing. Location is also great.

Very nice, the cabin was perfect for our family of 9. The location was perfect to visiting both Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We all enjoyed the pool table too.

Awesome vacation property

We stayed here with our sons and their families. Everyone had plenty of space and loved the big kitchen and living room and fireplace. It wasn't a very far drive to the park entrance and we would recommend this house to anyone looking to visit Yellowstone.

This place is amazing! Great location for snowmobiling. Lots of room, kitchen had everything we needed, beautiful cabin. I would highly recommend. Jamie was great to work with. Answered all my questions before and during the stay.

This cabin is very large and beautiful! It is even better than the photos. The swings around the firepit were our favorite place to gather at night to visit and stargaze. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook. We had 7 of us and there was plenty of room! There are reminder notes theough out the house on how to work the lights, fans, etc. There are notes also telling you what is expected of you. They were slightly intimidating but in actuality the property management staff was very friendly! We would happily return!

Purely delightful cabin

My siblings and I enjoyed our annual party at this beautiful cabin. We loved the spacious, custom-built cabin filled with delightful paintings, decor, and furnishing. It exceeded our expectations in every way. We had a problem with the tv and a competent techie came within half an hour and resolved our problem.

Family vacation

This house is amazing. Perfect for our family. The kids loved playing outside and the fire pit was an amazing way to end our day. Not to mention making s’mores. The Kitchen was huge and easy to make meals for our bunch. Plenty of bathrooms so there was no waiting. It is secluded enough that you feel like you are in the middle of a forest but only 20 min from Yellowstone west entrance. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Wonderful Home Away from Home!!

We stayed for the week at this beautiful cabin. We had 7 adults that each had their own space! The kitchen was amazing and the outside fire pit with swings was great! We sat on the porch each morning and night! The upstairs is not air conditioned and it was very hot this week but there were fans overhead and in each closet. The evenings got a little cooler so it was not unbearable! We had to get in touch with the owners once for something that wasn’t working and they came right out to fix it! Most importantly it was very clean! Immaculate!! Only 25 minutes to West Yellowstone! We absolutely would stay here again.
