About this property
Cabin 35min to West Yellowstone *Hot Tub, Wifi* Fishing-Kayaking-Hiking-ATVing
Greetings from Blue Bison Meadows! Our 3 bedroom/3 bathroom home is here to suit your needs whether you are traveling with your family or friends, looking for a quiet romantic getaway, or needing a place to rest after your day of exploring Yellowstone, Idaho, Montana or even staying close in Island Park. Two of our bedrooms offer King sized beds, so you don’t have to sacrifice on who gets the comfier space! Our third bedroom has a Twin over Queen bunk bed, spacious enough to be comfortable for adults. The walk out basement features a family room area (in addition to the main floor living room) and has two bunk beds (twin over twin and full over full) so kids can have a space to themselves for your whole group’s comfort. We have 2 driveways and a garage for plenty of parking if you are bringing off-road toys or just have multiple vehicles. You are likely coming to sight see and explore the nearby areas, but back home you get to relax in the hot tub, hang out by the firepit or BBQ and enjoy your meals outdoors continuing your connection to nature. Our neighborhood lots are large so you won’t have neighboring homes and visitors right on top of you! Blue Bison Meadows is just a few miles off Hwy 20, so we are away from the traffic while still very easily accessible and central to wherever you are going. You’ll have Island Park Reservoir, Harriman State Park, Mesa Falls, Johnny Sack Cabin and Big Springs, Yellowstone and so much more right at your fingertips! SUMMER: Enjoy the outdoors on our covered deck, hot tub or sitting around the fire pit (burn restrictions may apply) BBQ and enjoy dinner outdoors while watching a beautiful sunset
WINTER: 4 wheel drive vehicles are needed during winter. Island Park can be so fun in the winter months but be prepared for lots and lots of snow! We have regular snowplow service, but roads usually still hold a layer of snow. Guests in your party with smaller vehicles also have the option of parking at an open lot just one mile down the main road. Snowmobile right from the cabin to nearby groomed trails! Bring your warm clothes to play outside and then come home to warm up by the fire!

This home is lovely. Having a separate space downstairs for additional TV tastes a 2nd master bed/bunk beds was perfect. The hot tub was heavy and the view was peaceful.
Absolutely wonderful rental and location. Can’t think of a single thing that could make it more perfect. Beautiful house with great layout, all the necessities, and a wonderful host. The view of the stars, including several shooting stars, from the hot tub was just spectacular Definitely will stay again.
We had a great time. The house had plenty of room for our large group (8). The hot tub was a great bonus! It’s a pretty 45 min drive to Yellowstone. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable!
We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely, comfortable home! We stayed here with two families totaling 13 kids and adults. The distance to Yellowstone was a manageable 45 min with its own beautiful views (and you’ll be doing a lot of driving in the park anyway so you get used to it very quickly!) The house is clean, well stocked, cozy and inviting. The hot tub is a great feature after a long day of hiking!
We spent most of our time in the park but also enjoyed the town of West Yellowstone and the local rodeo as well as spending a wonderful day at Henry’s Lake. So much fun!
The owners were very responsive and helpful. We would definitely recommend this Island Park gem!
I stayed here with two friends for 3 nights. It was perfect since we each got our own room and a bathroom. I was in the basement room, which turned out to be totally fine -- comfortable bed, space heater, and very well insulated from any noise upstairs. We like to cook, so it was great that the kitchen was well-stocked with more than the basic kitchen implements. The location was perfect in that we were under 45 minutes from two great XCountry ski locations: Harriman State Park and Rendezvous. Hot tub was great, although I wouldn't mind a little how-to on what each of the buttons does, or how to turn it down once we're done so that it uses less electricity in between uses. The only downside to the location was that even with our SUVs we had a little trouble with the snow on the final 1/2 mile. We got stuck trying to head out to skiing, not a big deal, but I think if the snowfall had been heavier we would have been in a bind. Also, the house is in an area with maybe 8-12 other houses, all very separated, and many unoccupied. It felt a little more isolated than a city girl like me is used to, but was fine.
It wwas the perfect place for our family! Short distance to the Yellowstone West entrance; perfect place to relax after exploring Yellowstone during the day. Host was very responsive when we had questions.
The house was great! Beautiful views, everything was clean and neat! There was very few restaurants in the area but the coolest bar that made us feel welcome and at home (Shotgun Bar)! We had a great time!!
Very well maintained home with lots of land around it. The house had everything we needed to be very comfortable. Communication with the owner was very quick and easy. I would definitely stay here again.
Our family recently had the pleasure of staying at the charming cabin in Island Park, Idaho, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect getaway!
Thank you to the cabin owners and VRBO team for making our stay truly memorable! We can't wait to return!
We had the opportunity to stay in Island Park for a few days in March, the cabin was exactly a described-the hosts were so kind and responded so quick to any questions or concerns we had. The cabin itself is set in the perfect location and has a beautiful view. We had a great time!
We had a great family stay at this place! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The house had everything we needed and was convenient for our vacation spots. Amber( the host) response was super easy to get a hold of and she responded to all of our messages promptly. I would definitely recommend this place anyone looking for a family friendly place.
This cabin was very clean and well taken care of, with all necessary amenities. The Kitchen was stocked with all appliances we needed during our stay. We did have to contact the owner, and she was very kind and helpful with our question. She even called back to make sure things were inline for our stay.
The property has ample of parking for a pickup/trailer. This was key for us because we brought our snowmobiles. The area had an open meadow for our kids to ride to their hearts content during our stay. Easy access and parking!!! This cabin is worth your stay in Island Park.
So grateful to find this awesome cabin to spend our Christmas in. Cabin was cozy enough for a small group like ours but large enough to have a bigger group and be comfortable. Cabin was very very clean! Kitchen was large and had everything we needed to cook our favorite meals. Linens were extra soft, beds were very comfortable. All the extras were put into making this cabin very enjoyable. We rented snowmobiles and were able to ride them to our cabin to eat lunch. View is beautiful out the living room window. Lots of space to enjoy! Property manager went above and beyond to make sure we could locate the property and answer any questions we had. I would give this rental more than 5 stars if I could!
We had a wonderful stay at Blue Bison Meadows. We stayed for three weeks in the autumn and enjoyed trips to Yellowston, Grand Tetons and even took the long drive to Glacier National Park.
The night sky here is stunning. It was beautiful for a suburban dweller to see the Milky Way span from horizon to horizon!
We experienced one unforseeable glitch; we were locked out of the cabin! A call to our host resulted in a temporary solution in about 15 minutes and a permanent fix in less than 24 hours. This is exactly what we'd hope for; a quick response and solution!
The cabin is fully equipped and includes all expected amenities. The internet service was excellent. The four (!!) smart TVs in the house include all of the needed services; YouTubeTV, Netflix, HBOMax, etc. Simply sign in on your account and you have the same services as at your own home. Then, be sure to sign out at the end of your stay.
I recommend this property to anyone. I would definitely stay again.
Came here with our family , party of 8 . And we fit so comfortably! The hot tub was an asset after several days of long hikes and body aches . The smart TVs we a great asset despite no time to watch ! If this was a relaxing vacation , I would have been just happy to just Netflix and chill because it was comfy and homey ! Everyone was happy and loved the property ! Hopefully in the future we can visit again !
Great communication and easy check in. Plenty of comfortable beds for a great family adventure! Amber truly makes you feel welcome! Easily accommodated our family of 5 adults and five kids. Kitchen was a great place to fix our family meals. Strongly recommend.
You can tell the property is a home away from home for the owner. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes and equipment so that we felt we could really feel comfortable.
We came to Island Park for our extended family reunion at Eagle Ridge Ranch. We have grown to a size we cannot fit in a single area so we decided to get our own place to stay. The host Amber was fabulous. She was quick to answer any question we had and went beyond what was expected to make our stay more pleasurable. It was a beautiful area and the home was lovely. It had everything we needed. The bunk beds downstairs were perfect for all the kids to sleep in. This freed up the 3 bedrooms to split among the adults.
Just FYI: Do Not Follow The Directions On Apple Maps!!!! It will take you to the wrong cabin. Check the house number before you park and attempt to go in the front door. Sorry neighbor.
Communication with the owners was excellent. Very quick responses and incredibly helpful from the moment we booked until the time we checked out. They were very knowledgeable about details of the area and had excellent recommendations (we reserved months in advance, not knowing that Yellowstone would be closed and they kept us updated on the property and surrounding area’s conditions and had great ideas of things to do instead of going to the park). The property is very well taken care of and had everything we needed while we were there. While staying there, we saw a variety of wildlife around the property too - birds, rodents, antelope, foxes, it was amazing! If you’re looking to stay at this property, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend.
