"I had such a lovely stay at this cute little studio in Puerto Carrillo. The space was cozy, clean, and had everything I needed for a relaxing getaway. The real highlight was the shared pool—perfect for cooling off after a day at the beach or just lounging with a book. "I’m not particularly spiritual, but I practically had a religious experience here, floating in a beautiful pool under a moonlit sky, surrounded by the chatter of five or six monkeys hiding in the trees next to me.In the morning we would ride down into town to grab coffees and pastries and dance on the dusky sand with our kids, finding tiny crabs and strange shells in the warm water. "Perfect location directly on the beach, quiet. Warm pool. A hundred yards from a great restaurant, 10 minutes on the beach to walk to downtown. Breakfast was basic (3 choices). wifi only worked in the breakfast area (has a great view). Friendly personal, they let us check in early. Book an A/C room! Basic room but clean and spacious. Met lots of really interesting guests! Would come again!"

"Fantastic place in a stunning location. We were six, and more than enough room for all. Lisbeth, who is responsible for the home, is a wonderful person and cook! Do not hesitate to ask her to prepare some of her specialities. The location in Punta Islita is unique. This is about a 35 to 45 min drive fro Samara, which includes 25 min along unpaved, somewhat grated, roads. Lots of up and down big hills along the coast. We did it in a front-wheel drive car, but would have preferred 4WD. Once in Punta Islita, you can walk down to the beach in 10 min or walk up to the village in 10 min. There is a small market where you can get most of what young need, and a great coffee shop. Lisbeth can order fresh fish, sea food, and meats! "

"The hotel room was spacious and clean. The property is clean, well-decorated, and we felt very safe. The staff was very friendly and appreciated a friendly conversation. Many of the staff recognized my partner and me and remembered our drink orders. The pool is absolutely beautiful and well-maintained, but we wish there were more pool chairs with umbrellas, as the sun is very intense. The beach is gorgeous with safe swimming access, which was a huge plus. The restaurants were great, but we were unsure about how to access the Nikoa restaurant and pool. We only stayed a week, and we thought that if we stayed longer, the food options would get old, which was why we were trying to figure out the other restaurants. The Nikoa pool and restaurant seemed like a super-nice, new part of the property that was hardly used at all. We also attended the free yoga classes on-site at the hotel, and the instructor was excellent. However, the hotel gym was old, dirty, and had no AC, which was crazy considering it's over 90 degrees every day. Overall, we would definitely stay at this hotel again. We felt we got a lot of value for what we paid!"

"Gorgeous clean and well constructed property. Friendly staff. Very comfortable stay. Grounds were well maintained and very private from the outside town. Be advised there are two different locations, Residencias and Beachfront. We had a two bedroom unit with kitchenette in the Residencias. There looks to be several rooms above a restaurant at the Beachfront location. We had a 5 minute walk through town with access to the beach through the Beachfront location. Breakfast was NOT included in our stay but you could pay for a limited menu at the Beachfront location. Would definitely stay here again. "

"This was the best hotel we stayed at in all of Costa Rica! Absolutely gorgeous property, beautiful pool, clean rooms, the most comfortable beds, and wonderful made to order breakfast. Geraldine, the breakfast waitress is a delight! She's so funny and personable despite the language barrier. We traveled with our 3 year old and we were delighted to find toys and children's books in the lovely sitting area. Such a big help for parents! I'm so happy we stayed here!"
