Staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful! The breakfast on the terrace was great, as well. It is very basic - but clean and the shower pressure was excellent! The rooftop terrace has incredible views and we loved hanging out up there! The location is amazing though - walk everywhere! Highly recommend - excellent for the price.

The hotel location is awesome, just walk out and you’re basically in the center of some of the attractions. The staff are really friendly, helpful and kind, breakfast is the same every day which I didn’t mind and it’s average. I had the budget single room, very basic. Bathroom was small but sparking clean and same as the room.

Excellent Staff, always there to help. Would like to see more soundproofing, specifically in the bathrooms as we could hear from next Room’s Bathroom. Great location. Would recommend definitely and will stay there again.

Very convenient location, the hotel is in between the Blue Mosque and Aya Sofya Mosque (so you hear the call to prayer lound and clear 5 times a day). The hotel is very nicely decorated with beautiful Turkish rugs and tilework. The rooftop is amazing and the free breakfast each morning was great. Very kind and helpful staff.

This hotel has a lovely authentic 'guest house' feel. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The location is superb, just around the corner from the beautiful Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia.

My favorite hotel in Istanbul
I have stayed at the Side Hotel a few times over the years and I love it. Clean rooms, very safe, great location and friendly staff. Buffet breakfast is good.

I loved that the property is in the middle between sultan Ahmed and Ayasofya. Walking to both is so easy and the square between them is great at night and early in the morning.

I have stayed here many times. Their room rates and location are excellent. The delicious Turkish breakfast on their terrace gives you a nice view of the Bosphorus Straits and parts of the Sultanahmet. The staff have always been friendly and very helpful.

The front desk staff was very helpful, informative, and friendly. Breakfast could definitely be better, just one option, the same one every day. The hotel location was great, short walk to mosques and Topkapi Palace.

Hotel is a walking distance from main attractions, and the guys at the front desk are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is not bad, but basic and the same every day.

Location Location, just 2 min away from main Mosques and old Istanbul town. But the staff is the best,specially at night with the 2 guys working night shifts, they are super helpful and gave me lot of tips about city ,food, culture, etc.

The property for the price was great, clean and brilliant location. The room was not big as i expected however i cannot complain for the price during a busy season. Emre and Nusret were brilliant, excellent help, even with English not being their first language they were able to have good conversations and show some humour. I wished to travel to the city of Busra and Nusret had arranged it for the next day. This was a amazing road and ferry trip to the mountains which included cable lines and lunch. The 24 hour check inn is also brilliant.

My daughter and I loved Side Hotel. It was exactly what we wanted: close to some of the important sites, near a tram station, nice quiet breakfast in the morning. The staff was lovely and kind, and everything worked fine. Also, we had no tv in our room, thank goodness, so had a lot of quiet time to nap, rest, read, and chill. Can’t say enough positive things!

This is an older hotel with a lot of charm. It is well kept, clean and offers a great view from its rooftop. I enjoyed a weeks stay at the Sides. My room was a good size with a very comfortable bed. This is a fabulous location for first time travelers to Istanbul as the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia are a 5 minute walk from the Sides Hotel. The Basilica Cistern is not to be missed! This attraction is a 10 minute walk from the Sides Hotel. There is a lovely park with a water fountain where you can take great pictures of both mosques. A walk through the park leads you to the Hop on Hop off tour bus. A smaller bazaar is just down the street from hotel’s doorstep. Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar is a 20 minute walk. There are restaurants and bars within minutes so no need for taxis. Staff will happily help you arrange transportation to the airport. I recommend this as some taxi drivers are not honest. Breakfast is typical Turkish breakfast and delicious. I loved my stay at this hotel!

From the minute I got into a shuttle from the airport it was an amazing experience with the staff. They took great care of me my bags and helped me find and visit many places around the city. They were all like family from the first few days to many weeks into my trip. The location is so perfect for old town and access to city transportation, I couldn’t be happier. Made many friends there and had many dinners with Emre when I would come back late from exploring he would order us up some Turkish dinners and we would sit and talk. He went above and beyond and spent some of his days off helping me find cigars. The entire staff was great. Their is a travel place next door if you want to book tours of Turkey as well. This place is Highly recommended and I will be going back to stay again while I search for my apartment. I cant wait to see them all again! I had a great stay here for 6 days. Staff were always ready to help. Major tourist attractions are all a few minutes walk away like Haggia Sophia, Blue mosque, Topkapi Palace. Food available all around, it's expensive in the vicinity, but walking towards the tramlines the food becomes much more reasonably priced. Breakfast is basic but perfect for my needs. Hotel arranged my shuttle to and from the airport. They organised a Turkish hammam for me. It felt like I was with family, I would stay again for sure

Wonderful stay in turkey!
Well Istanbul is great but this is about the hotel! Side staff was super accommodating and they cared soo much for their guests and made sure at all times we were comfortable and taken care of. They communicated well and made sure there was no errors in any of the plans we made with airport transfers of guided tours we booked through other people. The breakfast was fantastic with such a beautiful view. Their rooms were super clean and the bathrooms were very accommodating. My wife and I cannot wait to come back to Istanbul and we will stay here again and again! Also the location is perfect it’s just a few steps and you’r in the courtyard park area between the blue mosque and hagia Sofia! There are hotels all over the place but the side price, charm, and friendliness cannot be beat.

I stayed on the first floor and I am not sure if all other floors have similar layouts. There is almost a 1” gap under the entry door, so they tend to close a bit loudly and noise from the hallway can be heard very easily. My room was situated in the corner of the building and there was a group with two rooms near me. They seemed a bit tipsy after a night out and kept talking loudly and slamming doors as they passed between rooms late into the night. Other than the poor sound isolation, the hotel was excellent. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in a convenient location and room was cleaned daily. The hotel is only 5-10 minutes away from the Hagia Sophia mosque, so it made it convenient to queue up close to opening time when the wait time was a more reasonable 20 minutes.

I am SO happy we stayed at this hotel. The location was excellent - everything was walkable. I couldn't have asked to stay in a more convenietly located place. Less than a 7 minute walk to the Hagia Sofia. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. I loved it here and highly recommend it.

The location is is ideal for those who want to visit the main mosques and museums. Easy access to the tram as well to go to the Grand Bazaar and Asia side locales. Staff are very helpful and pleasant. The go out of their way for you. Great value!

I love the Side Hotel. This trip was my 4th time staying there. Located in Sultanahmet area so very convenient. Nice breakfast included. Staff remembers me from prior stays. Highly recommend.
