"Housekeeping is upon request only. You must ask for housekeeping or even fresh towels. No complimentary breakfast. There is a breakfast buffet for $15 per person. I choose to purchase a cup of coffee and a pastry at the kiosk next to the front desk for $8. Coffee was very good. Free refill. Indoor pool closed at 9:00 pm. Wished it was open a bit later. Outdoor pool closed at 10:00 pm. We stayed mid-week in the middle of August. Weather was hot. Hotel was about 20% full at most. Mainly forest firefighters and construction crews. We were there to visit a friend and Sequoia National Park. Enjoyed our stay. Probably the best hotel choice in Visalia."

"We had a great stay, it was a nice place to stay on our journey to Sequoia Forest. Our kids loved the game room, and we were close to places to eat and nature here. The facility itself looks pretty old and isn't in the greatest shape, plus we could hear every step of the people who were staying in the unit above us, and it wasn't in any way a large place. But it served its purpose and we didn't have any bad experiences there. For a place to stay on a larger trip, it's a good choice!"

The Darling Hotel

"The Darling is a unique and charming boutique hotel. It was very clean, and I loved how they kept as much of the architectural details as possible. The room was very clean and included complementary snacks, which was a nice touch after a long 10 hr day of travel. The downfalls encountered that others should be aware of was the hotel had no automatic doors which made maneuvering the luggage cart with multiple bags very challenging. Then there was the need to take two elevators to reach our room, which was not ideal. Even from the 4th floor, I heard street noise at night as well as loud mechanical noises. I would recommend bringing earplugs and requesting a room away from the street, elevators, and restaurant."

"An incredible experience! Since we arrived, everything was excellent. The hotel was very clean, the room was comfortable and pleasant, and the staff was very friendly and attentive at all times. Everything felt very cared for and cozy. The buffet was also delicious, with a lot of variety and everything very fresh. Without a doubt, it was one of the things we enjoyed the most during our stay. The experience in general was excellent and I would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend it!❤️"
