While I was taking this picture a deer was going through my camera bag and heading off down the beach with one of my filter holders. A fantastic island for photographers and tourists in general and well worth an overnight visit if you're going to Hiroshima, as it's only an hour away, and free to get to if you're on a JR rail pass.

The room was cozy. The breakfast was very good I thought. I enjoyed every one during my stay. Would definitely stay again. Train station right around the corner to easily get to some grest sightseeing in.

This is probably the nicest property in this sleepy old town of Iwakuni. I gave it 5 stars because it was nicer than anything around. It was clean and more than sufficient AND the public bath was a HUGE plus. It was modest, but clean and comfortable.

Very convenient location - a $10 cab ride to Iwakuni MCAS and within walking distance to shopping and downtown restaurants. Very clean with a very friendly staff. By American standards, the room was small (no closet) with a tiny bathroom that looked like it came out of an RV. On the plus side, the toilet seat was heated! I would stay here again, but the room would be very cramped with two or more guests.
