Rhodes Hotel Guide - Ixia Beach hotels in Rhodes, Greece.

"Staff are helpful and polite when you ask for anything. Extremely busy here, queue for over 10 minutes to enter the restaurant. Close to beach and shops. Pool is rammed. Rhodes old town is well worth the visit and the old town behind the walls. Very, very noisy. If you want/ need 6 hours sleep or more then this really isn't the place for you, it's impossible to stay asleep it's the hotel that never sleeps. Don't usually get to sleep before 2am due to people coming back from the bar and continuing the party in their rooms re-arranging all the furniture then it starts at 7am again. That was our biggest issue, lack of sleep. No air con is difficult and sleep with doors open, I know it seems pretty standard for hotels not to have air con in April, it was very difficult with the noise outside to sleep also. "

"Mixed views on this hotel. The positives - common areas like reception, bar and outside space at front and side of hotel, gym are all modern, new and well maintained. The staff are all very friendly. Location pretty good, close to water, free parking at harbour area, decent restaurants close by. Negatives - rooms pretty small and basic albeit comfortable, but with awful tiny balconies that you wouldn’t want to sit out on. My view from room 408 was a pretty grim hotel / apartment complex. The gym only opens til 16:00 and not at all on a Sunday! Not particularly helpful for guests in my opinion. Breakfast was cramped and busy. We were delayed arriving by a few days due to storms in Rhodes. Contacted the hotel 3 times and received no response to any of my messages. Thankfully hadn’t given our room away and no refund offered for the missed nights. For the price I paid it was ok but I wouldn’t rush back. Disappointed by Rhodes in general…"

"The hotel upon check-in to check-out was excellent. Staff were very friendly and we would stay there again due to location and just thd sheer pleasure of being welcomed warmly and nothing was any trouble. "

"This is a really beautiful, spotlessly clean hotel with a wonderful pool. Our room was upgraded and was huge, with lovely views of the pool and the sea. We had booked bed and breakfast but had intended to eat dinner in the hotel too. Unfortunately this proved to be tricky. I am dairy intolerant and whilst the buffet was clearly labelled, the labelling used 2 different systems and it was time consuming and stressful to find options I could eat. The poolside restaurant we tried had a lovely location but again limited options for me. Staff ensured I could eat the meal provided but it seemed like less thought had gone into the guest experience for those with food allergies or intolerances. For example there were around 25 different breakfast pastries, including 3 or 4 which were gluten free but non which were dairy free. A simpler way of communicating allergy information to staff and a little more thought about guest experience for this could improve things hugely, e.g an allergy card to put on the table so you don’t end up having to constantly re explain. In the end, we ate out in Rhodes as restaurants provided a much less complex experience. There were enough breakfast options to eat but limited variety for me. "

"If you are looking for a super basic, dorm or hostel style room with a nice pool and good dinner restaurant bar in an isolated part of Rhodes, it’s an ok choice. Otherwise go to one of the many more equipped resorts or hotels in interesting parts of the city and area. They have no services here and not even a hotel phone for emergency situations. Expect a very noisy restaurant and pool area right on a major busy road with buses and trucks all day. Have zero expectations for decor or design in rooms. Like a student dorm. Very basic breakfast but friendly staff. “Mountain view” is a hill and view of the backyard shed I paid and extra $60 per night for. :( The staff and owners are friendly but completely inflexible and un accommodating. They grossly misrepresented the services and amenities on Expedia which heavily influenced my choice to book here for 5 nights. However once I arrived they said they didn’t offer those services and some disagreements between the owners communicating whether they ever had them. I asked for 3 nights costs return to me which they repeatedly refused and explained why I booked there. Decided to leave anyway for my safety/ accessibility and book the rest of my trip at the Sheraton for close to the same nightly off season rate and get a stunning view of the ocean and a 5 star resort service. Double check rates on other sites because after booking here I saw it half the rate I paid elsewhere which would explain their 1 star hotel service style. "
