The pictures of this hotel looked amazing, sadly it just didn't match up to those, it feels the shine is gone.
As said, breakfast was amazing, the breakfast crew were helpful and offered great service.
The rest of the hotel should take lessons from the breakfast team.
A few examples of the less than stellar service. First, we booked our stay a few days in advance, we emailed the hotel with a few requests as we're a family and booked multiple rooms. Most hotels respond within 24 hours, we never got a response. So of course, our requests were ignored and it took the hotel time to find rooms close to each other and get a rollaway bed sent up.
Next, we were there in July, so it's hot in Izmir. But the hotel has some weird policy where you can't adjust your own thermostat, if you want AC, you only get it at 23 degrees. I asked this to be changed, no response.
Also location wise, while the hotel is close to water, you really can't access the water as there is a freeway between the hotel and the water. It's pretty industrial around the hotel.
Overall, decent value, but disappointing service.
