"Upon arrival, there was a notice of non payment of almost 4000 from the electric company on the door so I was concerned I would lose electric. The grounds seemedover grown and unkept. There was no TV, no hot water in the kitchen with a brokenhot water knob which would have needed a wrench. Although it had in room air conditioners vented outside, they were taped in place with open air coming inside. One of the open areas actually had live tree vines coming inside which I pulled out. "This is a great place that brings you back to a special time. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Made us feel like we were family - highly recommend."

"We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean a few areas of feedback is that the hot water was lackluster. We had many periods of no hot water. The light fixture was very bright in the sitting area. It would’ve been nice if they had a light dimmer so we didn’t have to unscrew the bulbs. One bulb made the room shine. We were impressed that during the storm we received a phone call asking us if we wanted to relocate to another cabin that was not near trees and in the open area. We appreciate that they took the time to extend the offer. We were also impressed that they came around to pick up the fallen branches and used leaf blower to blow off the leaves and sticks on our porch. We would consider reserving in the summer a week to explore the area. Thank you."

"We got off the Orient Point ferry late in evening and were welcomed so warmly by the host! Its like stepping back to a lovely time with the cozy living room on 2 floors and elegant furnishings. The complimentary coffee and lemon water. We loved the cozy feel of the living room that we just picked up muffins from a bakery and ate them with the coffee there. The ONLY reason we gave 4 stars, not 5 is the room had no sound barrier abd we heard next door t.v. on til almost midnight. We loved our stay other than that.0"

"We asked for a second floor room. The room was large and mostly very quiet. Pillows and bedding were very good. Breakfast included yogurt, oatmeal (from packets), hard boiled eggs. Sugar free yogurt would have been good. Only about a five minute walk from the center of town. Convenient location for exploring the area."

"Good hotel benefited by a good lobby and the delightful Annabel who welcomed us when we arrived after a long journey and managed to arrange food for my family just before the kitchen closed. She looked after us and friends over our stay and made us all very welcome Rooms were spacious though a little dark and we were surprised that given the cost of the hotel room they were only cleaned every other day Facilities are good though and it’s a great base to visit this lovely island. Would happily stay here again"
