Atlantic Sand Oasis-When I came back to this island in 1982, I discovered this paradise spot where I decided to buy and develop this vacation villa. I was inspired by the attractive view of the lighthouse and the clear water of this sandy beach 365 days of the year, which surround the area. In a sweet escape… to this paradise, you will be able to enjoy beautiful green backyard which have a direct access to the beach, perfect for resting in a hammock or just relaxing under the palm trees having your preference beverage in a beautiful afternoon watching the sunset.

In this villa you can enjoy different activities with your family or as a couple, such as surfing, jet ski, snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, playing any sport or even deep sea fishing. There’s also a light house that has an aquarium and museum for the family to enjoy.


Why the Owner Chose Arecibo: We chose this location to develop our Villa because its located in a beautiful beach right at the north center of the island, where you can enjoy all kind of activities and at the same time being close to all attractions over the island.

Very nice place for a big family

Very nice place with beautiful pool and pool bar. We enjoyed the property in front of the beach with hughe waves and also the nearby impressive bathing fun at ' La Poza del Obispo' next to the lighthouse.The only minus was the loud noise from the street at the late evening and night in the bedrooms. You had to get used to it.

Great beachfront home for a large group

We were very happy with our accommodation. Easy check in and checkout. Excellent communication. Very clear instructions. This is the perfect place for large groups to rent because the upstairs has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and the downstairs are three separate studio apartments with two queens. There’s even a crib, toddler bed, and pack’n’play for littles. There are boogie boards and excellent waves. Make sure to pack the bug spray! Every place we have stayed in Puerto Rico, there are little bugs that pack an itchy bite. They come out at sundown so you can avoid them by staying inside. It is on a busy road so you will hear cars driving by and loud music, which is typical in most cities in Puerto Rico. Very cold A/C. Tons of parking inside the gate. The beach is stunning and huge!

Awesome Stay!

This is a great place for a family vacation. it's very spacious and the amenities are great. Being able to walk right to the beach is very impressive. the pool area was so much fun for the family. Definitely would recommend!

Great space for a large group

In Puerto Rico for a wedding

Atlantic Sand Oasis was perfect for our family. The adults and kids enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this property. Javier and Lupe were very responsive. I would strongly suggest that you bring insect repellent.

Paradise away from home!

Held a family reunion here for a 90-year-old and had a blast! We lived in the pool, played volleyball, enjoyed the ice cold A/C and the beach. Supermarkets were within 20min as well as some great food stands/restaurants. 90yo and 80yo had no problem navigating bottom rooms or patio/pool area. Owner was quick to respond and check-in/out was clear. This review is for the house and not the party coordinator as they are, in essence, separate entities.

Beautiful setting

We had a family group of 14 and had plenty of room! The grounds are very well kept, the view is fabulous, and the pool was a hit! We had a couple of issues and Javier was responsive and resolved the issues quickly. The house is on a busy street, so there’s a lot of road noise in case that might be an issue for someone, although we weren’t bothered by it. It is a bit of a drive from the airport and traffic can be very heavy. Overall, great experience.

Wedding stay

I stayed at the property with family and friends and had my wedding at the beach behind the property with my reception in the back yard of the venue overlooking the ocean. The property is stunning. The pictures don’t do it justice. I can’t get over the location. Instant beach access. The property was lovely and clean. Atlantic Sand Oasis now holds a special place in my heart. All of our other guests absolutely loved it as well. We all plan on returning next year!

Best Vacation Ever

The house was perfect for our family of 17. The house location was perfect. The kids really enjoyed the pool. There were bugs outside but a little bug spray took care of that. There wasn’t any bugs in the house itself. Loved the outdoor cooking area. Beach volleyball was a big hit! We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Atlantic Oasis.

Destination wedding

Our stay was nothing less than perfect! We have stayed in Arecibo and love the beach behind the property as well as Islote beach which is 5 minutes from the property and is excellent for swimming. Javier was took excellent care of my family and I staying in touch with updates, information regarding the property, check-in & out process, a quick fix when the refrigerator didnt cool as well as needed as well as recommending a wedding planner! My family and I are already planning a return trip for next year!

Great Amenities and Very Spacious

The views of the ocean, the large, open backyard with pool and hot tub were perfect! Access to the beach was amazing. Loved the back covered porch for eating meals and viewing the ocean. The rooftop was nice but we didn’t spend much time up there. The hosts were very friendly and responsive to any issues.Some small improvements would make this an “excellent” rating such as better mattresses, consistent water temps in showers and sinks and an easier “key” system (digital locks). We did see previous comments about the street traffic/noise at night so that is another issue that unfortunately cannot be controlled. Lastly, the gardeners came and mowed the lawn (probably there 1.5 hrs) so that disturbed our peace a little bit.

Great stay

This property is even better than the photos show. Everyone’s stay was comfortable and we found everything to be clean and I’m working order. Javier is extremely communicative and helpful every step of the way. A+ property and host. We will be back for sure. Things that are outside of the hosts control but should be noted: - the sand flies can be bitey at certain times of the day. Bring bug spray. - the ocean can be rough and current quite strong. There is a beach close by with calmer waters.

Beautiful spot!

This is a beautiful property in an amazing location. We are a family of 4 and it was more house than we needed but the location and back yard with beach access was everything we were looking for. We walked right out back and hung out at the beach almost daily. We always finished our days off in the pool. There is also a really cool beach less than a mile to left. My husband and I walked there once but it was easier to just hop in the car and take the 3 minute drive with our beach chairs and kids. We went there every morning. The kids loved it because it’s like a wave pool at a water park. And it’s enclosed by rocks so you can’t be sucked out to sea. We look forward to coming back!!

Wedding Getaway!

This property is in a great location, close to local cuisine and bars, right on the beach. We had 13 total there for a wedding and it went off fabulously. Owners were responsive when we needed them. Some rooms were quieter than others. Being on the North Shore, if you were a surfer, great, but during our visit the sea was really too rough to swim. Great breezes come to cool things off too! What we didn't like were small things such as coin operated laundry units. And nothing to do with the property, but bring bug spray if you want to hang out near the railings by the ocean at night.

Family week and wedding at the beach

We had a family of 9 adults, an infant and a 4 year old staying for 5 nights in January. We had a small wedding (the other family rented a VBRO next to ours) on the beach with a reception held on the roof top of this home. They have 4 tables with seating for 24 plus a large outdoor sectional and a couple chaise chairs all on the roof top! The lighting was not the best but we contacted Javier and Lupe and they strung light all around which made it even more perfect. The 3 suites on the ground level were perfect for 3 of the adult couples to have their own space. Beds were clean and comfortable. The pool is very nice and kept clean, there is plenty of outdoor seating plus pool and sand toys for the kids. Also plenty of towels and cookware. Outdoor showers to clean off the sand from the beach was nice. There are plenty of really good restaurants within minutes (a brand new bar/ restaurant right across the street earned our business- C & P Gastrobar ). Plenty of sight seeing and hiking opportunities nearby. Javier and Lupe were very easy to contact and very helpful. I highly recommend this place if you have a large group get together.

Amazing beach and pool

The yard and pool were amazing. the beach is fantastic for playing in the waves. the sand never hardens so walking is good exercise, since it is soft. the house has too many small things that need repair. Some showers would not get hot. There is very limited cups and bowls. It needs more plastic for the pool. There is no dishwasher. The house sits right on the road. The traffic noise is bad. A number of cars play very load music at all times of the day in PR. Not sure why this is legal. Bring ear plugs. Parking was great, with a lockable gate. Despite the problems, If we go back the PR, we would go there for the beach and pool.

Outdoor Paradise

Highly recommend this property. Javier was a very responsive host. The layout was perfect for our group of friends allowing for space to get together and our own private spaces. The interior was adequate but the outside space was perfection!!! The views are gorgeous and there are areas for relaxing and hanging out. We enjoyed sitting watching the ocean, moving to the pool when we got warm then relaxing in the hammocks in the afternoon. In the evenings we played cards (provided) around the pool bar. Having the exterior restrooms by the pool was so convenient. All the things you need to enjoy paradise are right there. Coolers, chairs, umbrellas, floats and beach towels are all provided. The beach towels are actually large and thick. Don’t bother to bring your own. Restaurants and grocery are minutes away. Iguanas and lizards entertained us daily. If you love outdoor living at the beach, this is the place to pick!!!!
