Part of the Notch Lodges collection, The By The Brewster Chalet is one of five unique nearby chalets—each within 2 miles of Smugglers Notch—offering the perfect blend of privacy and proximity to year-round adventure.

By The Brewster Chalet offers a great view of the Brewster river. It has two bedrooms, a workstation area and a well-equipped kitchen. Close access from the main road, yet feels private and offers a secluded backyard. The chalet is a 3 minute drive to Smuggler`s Notch and great skiing, and central to many great hiking trails.
- The kitchen with dishwaher, has what is needed for cooking and enjoying meals.
- Main bedroom with king size bed.
- 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds.
- 1 bathroom with bath and stand in bath shower.
- Linen and towels provided.

This is the perfect place to come and enjoy the outdoors!

From mid-October to mid-May (varies depending on weather and temperature) the direct route over the mountain between the chalet and Stowe is closed. During this period the drive around from the chalet to Stowe is approximately 50-minute.

Great location & perfect size

Really enjoyed out stay. Just 2 of us and perfect size. Great location for doing things in Stowe. Loved the stream in the back too. Only struggle was finding it since it’s hidden by trees.

Great stay!

Lovely property and house. Right off VT-108 and next to a bubbly stream. The nearby mountain pass is not for the faint of heart driver, but it was well worth it. Recommend!

Wonderful vacation

We had such a great time with our family at this Chalet. Everything was clean and organized, two beautiful bedrooms and comfy beds. Tv, games and all basic amenities made our stay very comfortable. Thank you! Would love to go back again one day

Wonderful Chalet!

Really enjoyed staying at this chalet. Maude was a great host. The chalet was a good size with more than enough room for my partner and our furry friend. The location was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our fall visit to Vermont especially the view of the river behind the chalet. I would absolutely recommend staying here.

Great little get away

This place really worked out for us during a 2 night stay. Plenty of room. The creek behind the house added some nice ambiance while there. The view out from living room was nice. Visited few restaurants while there, The Family Table and Village Tavern. The location to Stowe was ideal as we took gondola up mountain and later visited downtown.

Another great stay

This was our 2nd time staying here and it was even better than the last! There were some new upgrades since the last time we were there which made our stay even more lovely. We spent Christmas there and we had sent our "elves" up ahead of time to for our girls to find when we arrived. Maude was wonderful in helping to get the elves staged for our arrival!

Family getaway

We were looking to get away from the hustle of the city and this was perfect. Being able to enjoy coffee while watching the rolling steam go by was amazing. While being away from everything there is still a lot to do near by, such as hiking, biking and gondola rides. We will definitely be back and recommend to others.

Beautiful property right on the Brewster River. Everything was as expected. Nice back yard and living room windows give a great view of the river. Across the street from a sugar shack and about a mile from some of the best disc golf in VT.

Great location, nice property

We enjoyed our stay. The kids had a really good time playing in the creek behind the property. The cottage is quite nice overall. Fair warning: the mattresses are all foam, which I guess works for a lot of people - the kids were fine in the twin beds - but for me & my husband sharing the big bed, we prefer a much stiffer mattress, so that was a bit of a bummer for us.

Great stay for our skiing family of four!

We had a wonderful long weekend, the By the Brewster Chalet was so convenient for us just 2min from Smuggs. The listing was very accurate, it was cozy but had enough space for our family of four. Maude was very responsive and helped us make the decision about our dogs, which we ended up bringing along for a very easy and lovely stay. As it’s on a main road, there wasn’t a lot of walking opportunity, but that was clear from the listing and communication prior to our visit. It was just what we needed, had all the comforts needed, including some fun games and puzzles to enjoy. Overall a lovely stay and recommended!

Mountain hideaway

Wow. This was such a great cabin. We got to drive thru Smugglers Notch almost daily. We were close to Stowe and just 50.minutes to Burlington. It is right by a highway, but the traffic is light. Super quiet and dark at night. So glad we booked here instead if an Inn or Hotel. Maude was very responsive and courteous.

Outstanding!

Wonderful location for visiting in summer. Our son loved playing in the river - water levels were low so it was safe to do so. Even though the property is right on a main road, noise wasn’t a problem at all. Maude was a kind and responsive host. I love that there was no extra charge for our dog!

Brewster for the Win

This is my third year staying in these chalet properties and they never disappoint! The Brewster Chalet was so cozy from the second I opened the door. It’s an easy and comfortable space to be in with all the things you need. From appliances, laundry, and blankets to games, puzzles and more. Maude responds to messages within the hour, always very reliable and trustworthy. One of greatest things to note of the Brewster chalet is the deck and “backyard”. It is massive and beautiful. My pup and I had a blast pouncing through the snow together! I’d imagine any season is the right season to stay here, what a joy. Can’t wait to stay again. Perfect Peaceful Stay

The Brewster Chalet was perfect for us. I was traveling with my grandson for a celebration of life and to show him all the wonderful things to see in Vermont, where his father lived throughout his childhood. The creek was the main draw for us and it didn't disappoint. The cottage was equipped with all we needed to cook simple meals.
