Welcome to Cobbon Retreat!

Located in a quiet street and within walking distance to shops and restaurants, Cobbon Retreat is a large 5 bedroom holiday home that sleeps up to 12 people. This spacious property is perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a comfortable and convenient home away from home.

The property boasts two large living areas, both with generous dining spaces, making it easy for everyone to come together for meals and relaxation. The modern kitchen is equipped with a brand new family size stainless steel fridge, making it easy for guests to prepare meals during their stay. The all-weather alfresco dining area provides plenty of space for everyone to enjoy outdoor dining and relaxation.

Cobbon Retreat has two new fully rebuilt bathrooms in 2021, along with a new laundry area and an ensuite bathroom off the master bedroom. Guests are assured of warmth and comfort during their stay, thanks to the reverse cycle Air Conditioners and gas heaters in the living rooms, wall mounted electric panel heaters, and an instantaneous gas hot water system.

The bedding configuration of this property includes a queen bed with built-in robes in bedroom 1, a queen bed with a cupboard in bedroom 2, a double bed with open robes in bedroom 3, a queen bed with an ensuite bathroom and balcony in bedroom 4, and a generous downstairs space in bedroom 5 that is suited to a kids zone with a tri bunk and 2 single beds. This room has underfloor slab heating, a wall-mounted TV and sliding doors to the backyard.

Cobbon Retreat has a double lock-up garage with plenty of room for storing skis and mountain bikes, and ample off-street parking is available. This was a very comfortable and spacious house for a week of skiing. Everything was very clean and the amenities were great for a big group. Location was great, restaurants were only a 5-10 minute walk. The only slight inconvenience was a lack of cooking equipment (1 frying pan, 1 pot) which made it more difficult to cook for larger groups. But other wise this was a great place to stay!

Home away from home!

Cobbon retreat is a property that can cater for all types groups. A home away from home we had enjoyed every moment of our 2 night 3 days stay. The location was perfect for it was close to all amenities and we could access Perisher ski resort in less than half hour by ski tube. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others and to come back for our next show trip.

On our final night there, the power stopped working and we were unable to cook or heat the home properly during winter in the Snowy Mountains. The kitchen was very limited, giving us only 1 garbage bag for a 3 night stay with 12 people, insufficient toilet paper, no paper towels,

Nice stay, good interior planning

We stayed in this place for 2 nights along with friends as a group of 12. At least 16 people can easily occupy the space and interior planning is really well. We all enjoyed the stay very much and it’s very close to Jindabyne Lake. Only difficulty was, and it was really inconvenient and unacceptable, lack of sufficient consumables. There was no hand wash provided, only very limited toilet tissues, dishwasher tablets, kitchen towels/ tissues etc. We had to buy our own toilet tissues, dishwasher tablets etc. it would have costed hardly $10 more if they had provided sufficient consumables. It was a bad experience. Otherwise it was an excellent place.

Great house for a big group

The house is quite well laid out, and the two living rooms plus giant table were really great. It would have been good to know that bedrooms 1 and 2 are not separate from each other (they share the same door), as this messed up our plans for sleeping arrangements and caused some inconvenience. Also, the back verandah wasn't well cleaned (bottle tops and cigarette ash under the table). Apart from that, it was comfortable and convenient to town, and we enjoyed staying there.
