Horn HideAway: Wooded Cottage, Kayakers Welcome!
Horn HideAway is a peaceful retreat just outside of Gaylord, Mi.
The space With Gaylord 15 minutes down the road and Lake Louise around the block, this is a great destination for summer! Grab some fishing poles and head to the playground or boat launch. Help yourself to some lawn games for family fun!
The Gaylord Snowmobile trails can be ridden to in a couple minutes directly from the cottage. A great place to eat is Paul's Pub in Johannesburg, snowmobilers welcome!
The Horn HideAway features 2 bedrooms and a loft space. The "Captain's Quarters" has a queen bed, closet for storing your items and a cabinet with games/books. The large loft accommodates a queen and double bed with a dedicated workspace, including an extra monitor. We affectionately call this the “Bird’s Nest”, since you can see down to the living and dining rooms.
The kitchen has been completely updated within the last year and includes a new stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. A bar extends from the wall in the kitchen and accommodates 2 bar stools adjacent to the dining room table. Small kitchen appliances include coffee pot, crockpot, waffle maker, electric knife, electric mixer and griddle.
TV works and cell service is good. Just upgraded to TrueStream internet, so much faster and better than our previous wireless! We have a huge collection of DVDs to watch including many WWII movies, thanks to Grandpa Chuck! We also keep a PlayStation 2 with some games; an oldie, but goody!
Guest access Guests have access to the entire cottage.

Great stay overall. Internet is spotty which makes streaming tv very difficult, but the location is great, condition of the cabin is great, very clean.
This was a perfect location for a golf trip to the Gaylord area. Right between Treetops and Garland and several other courses. The host was very good at responding to our questions, and the cabin was just right for us (two golfing guys) to be comfortable. Paul's Pub - about 1.5 miles down the road - was wonderful as well.
Stayed here based on location and accommodations. Great spot to stay and had a very nice up north feel to it. Comfortable beds and nice updates to the cabin! Would recommend anyone to stay here and will hopefully book this cabin again in the future. 10/10
Cute cabin in quiet private wooded lot. We were not at the cabin much more than to sleep due to wedding activities. We were very tired a slept great. Quiet area and beds very comfy. My adult sons loved the loft.
Pack light, this cabin is comfortable and cozy. Many extra essential and toys.. This was close to rivers and lakes for summer fun. Gaylord is a great town. July 4th parade and fireworks in Joannasburg gave that small town feeling. Quiet and tucked in,truly a hideaway. On our 10 night stay we explored all over northern Mi... Would definitely return
