I moved to The Capital Melrose after four nights in a more uoscale hotel, and I was very pleased by The Capital Melrose's value for the price. Looks like a really well run hotel, as the facilities were immaculate, the room had useful basic amenities, and best of all, the staff were wonderfully warm. I would stay here again!

We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment. Staff excellent, rooms smart, clean and comfortable. However really bad nights sleep. So advsie for all. Don't take a room that is immediately next door to the gym as we heard music and the treadmills going throughout the night.

Couple stay

Stayed a couple of nights. It was a good stay, clean property including gym. Pool is small and thin and by the dinning area only thing I dislike. Overall great service. Was able to uber/bolt from there and food service was easy. Must eat there atleast once it’s delicious.

Fair to Middle

It was clean and neat. The room was big but sparse. Service was friendly and the food was nice. TV was limited and for R1700 a night I would have expected more. There was nothing exceptional that made it different from a less expensive option.

This was my 4th time staying at the Capital Melrose - I visit frequently from the US to see family … I love that the rooms are large, spacious, modern with great bathrooms, a kitchenette & bonus washer/dryer in some rooms… The staff are all absolutely incredible, friendly & go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect!!
