Our place is right across the street from running/walking trails that wind through a large High School campus and its sports fields, as well as Freedom Hall Civic Center. This is a huge apartment! The location was awesome, was within 10 minutes of anything you could possibly need. The place was clean and welcoming. Checking in was super simple and the host was always available if we needed help. 10/10!

Sweet little condo

Very comfortable, plenty of room. Two adults and two teens. The view off the porch at night (sunset) was beautiful. Perfect spot for wine/coffee. Beds comfortable, pillows perfect. Neighbors quiet. Watched baseball practice while doing dishes. Great walking trail across street. Close to everything.

Wonderful place to stay!

Our family of five (all adults) stayed here for a night while passing through town. Communication with the host was excellent. Entry was easy, the house was well stocked, plenty of linens, paper products and even extras like filtered water, coffee etc. We were very pleased with our experience. We would recommend staying here. The apartment was clean and the beds were comfy. We even had access to Netflix to watch a movie.

The property itself is quaint and cozy. There was some residual tv out gaming noise (bass) from the neighboring property at night but it wasn’t terrible. The property is very clean and had great amenities. Good quality for the price.

Well kept, working appliances, good area, VERY clean. Only complaint is the hot water supply is low. Not really a fault of the hosts as it was an apartment complex type of venue. For 1 shower, its fine but for 2 consecutive showers or a longer shower / bath there may be issues.Again, not a fault of the hosts. Everything that was reasonably within their scope was fantastic. Check out process was easy and reasonable as well. Nothing too demanding as far as things go. If I ever book another Vrbo, Sanctuary Co. is top of the list for qualitycost ratio.

Excellent communication, very clean residence, simple check in and check out. Two improvements: 1. The knob to turn the water on and select hot/cold in the tub/shower needs to be replaced. It does not function properly and we were not able to take a hot shower. 2. Make it clearer that the residence is apart of an apartment complex. This fact may not matter to some customers but it would have been a major component for other customers.

Not what we expected

We enjoyed how close it was to the stadium. It was very nice having 3 bathroom sinks with 4 adults as well. The beds were comfortable too. There is a double stairwell up to the apt which is hard for older ones. The carpet is all stained up and needs replaced. It made it feel dirty! The windows are old and cloudy as well. Also, there are no TVs in the bedrooms. VERY disappointing when each person wants to relax in bed. The livingroom also only seats 3 comfortably. Also, the sink garbage disposal didn’t work. Overall..it served it's purpose but lacked quality. NOT a place we'll choose again.

Nice proximity to ETSU

We enjoyed being so close to the university. Staying with young children so it was challenging to keep them quiet and not stomping on the floor. Awesome water pressure in the shower. Would stay again without young children.

Nice Stay, Great Location

Our stay was for three nights and we were pleased with the location, it was close to downtown and many of the local restaurants. Across the street is a nice walking trail around the sports complex. The building is old and the floors do squeak which couldn't be helped but the covered parking area and designated parking spot is nice. We used the clothes washer and dryer before we departed and enjoyed the view off the back porch. Coffee was provided along with a Brita water filter. For the cost, you can't beat it.

Heat wasn’t working, took 2nd day to get it looked at and fixed. I had to repeatedly initiate the communication about this issue. When I was finally contacted, I was told only HVAC repair person could fix it. The next day after I called and texted, a maintenance man(not hvac) showed up and did find the problem. He was very friendly and helpful. The windows were really filthy and carpet needed scrubbed. There was no hot water in kitchen sink. I have never complained about a VRBO rental. We were disappointed.

This is an older apartment complex in Johnson City. The apartment itself is fairly clean and provides most basics for a rental. It is easy to find, the area is quiet and close to shopping, food, etc. The one thing that is not provided is a tv package like cable. This unit is like many other rentals now where there is a tv on the wall connected to wifi. It did have some services installed but it’s up to the renter to use their own device or services if you want something else. The one thing that could be really nice is the view from the back deck. It’s almost like being in the smoky mountains except the trees have grown up to block the view. I would suggest to remove the carpet and install something easier to keep clean.

Cute little apartment rental

I stayed here with my parents, husband, and 4 year old son while we were in town to view some apartments in the area. This is a rental of about 8 or so apartments and it appears most are lived in permanently. It was very clean and well stocked. There is a full sized washer & dryer and the owners left jumbo bottles of detergent to wash your clothes with. There was also full sized bottles of dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving cream, etc. for your use. There are basic staples left in the kitchen like sugar, tea, coffee, etc. There was a full sized bag of ice and even a filtered water pitcher left in the freezer/fridge for our use. In the bathroom closet, there was even a few boxes of toys, to the delight of my son. I have never stayed in a rental that was so well prepared for guests. I was extremely impressed with the level of detail. The owners had great communication with me and I never had to ask about check in/out instructions. Everything was great. I only had a few small things that weren't ideal. The couch is extremely uncomfortable. You can pretty much feel the boards underneath the cushion when you sit down. My other two complaints can't be helped by the owner, but I wanted to mention them. When you first walk into the building, there is a very strong smell. It's sort of stale and old smelling. That being said, when you enter the apartment, it doesn't smell. It's only the entry hall that smells. My other complaint is the downstairs neighbor. In the check-in instructions, the owner asks guests to be respectful of the downstairs neighbor because they're elderly and asks to keep any noise down after 9 pm. We are a very quiet family and didn't think that would be an issue but around 7:00 pm upon arriving, my son was walking around the apartment (a little loudly) after being in the car for 12 hours that day. He wasn't running around wildly and jumping up and down, but just ran from the bedroom to the living room and then stopped. Almost immediately, there was banging coming from the floor. Apparently the downstairs neighbor was not pleased. This occurred again the next day in the middle of the day. We were very quiet and respectful during the requested hours, but are unable to keep completely silent 24/7. Overall, this was a great rental, just be mindful if you have small children. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again.
