"This was our 5th stay at Bear Beach. We usually like to move around and try new places, but there simply is no place like it. It is a beautiful tradition we vow to repeat each year from our beach chairs. Maine at its wildest and most serene, with absolute privacy, epic days and glorious sunsets. We love to swim at high tide, dig for clams and clay at low tide and then rinse in the warm outdoor shower and relax in the sauna. Thank you Sue for sharing this with us!"

"This propeety was everything we expected and more. A large kitchen stocked with everything a cook would want. A farmer's porch to sit on and have your coffee while watching the lobster boats go in and out of the bay. The home is located on a sparsely populated peninsula perfect for de-stressing. "Our family of four had a wonderful stay at this property. The house was spacious and clean. Kitchen had some pantry essentials and everything needed to cook some nights. The grocery store is 3-5 minutes away. The drive toAcadia took us an hour and ten minutes to an hour and a half due to traffic getting on the island. It was nice to come back to the quiet house each evening. Would highly recommend."

"I loved the concept. However, it was a muddy mess to get back there. I don’t mind mud but you can’t carry everything back with you. I think they could put a path way with wood berms or hravel. I fell and slid in mud so walking back with a clean change of clothes impossible because your most definiy gonna fall i. the mud. loved the animals though"

"Phil was a wonderful host and provided great information and options for things to do. The house had excellent views of the harbor and sunrises. We particularly enjoyed watching the lobster boats going in and out. Phil arranged for us to take a trip on a working lobster boat which was an amazing opportunity and we loved it. Like all of the Maine peninsulas we had to drive about 12 miles up the coast to get to Hwy 1 to go anywhere, but that's part of the experience of being in Maine and it's why...
