Very clean. Very attentive owner/operator. The town around it has a very Mayberry quality that quite honestly was kind of nice! I'd come back.

Convenience but I reserved (2) beds and it was insisted that I reserved just a king bed. Lights flickering, refrigerator not working and custodial had to go in and fix the toilet.

The Jonesboro Budget Inn is just that, a Budget Inn as advertised. However, the owner was a great guy to have a conversation with, knowledgable of the area which was helpful and a very pleasant fella. He kept a clean and quiet business which was what I was looking for. If your looking for a clean and quiet place to stay at a great price in Jonesboro, Louisiana, the Budget Inn is the place.

Pretty expensive for quality . AC worked well. I have. Othingnelse to say about this hotel. It was the only one available when we needed it so not much competition in that little town.

Where to Begin?!
I will start with the shady looking man that was pacing the upstairs walkway yelling at someone on the phone. This was 10:30 p.m. This was a stop on a girls-only road trip. We were hoping to get a few hours of sleep and get back on the road refreshed. We decided it was necessary to take a taser with us to the check in window. The lady working the front desk was apparently dead asleep when we arrived. However, she did awaken and was very polite to us while checking in. When handed the key (yes, key not key card) I became a little concerned. We were given room #10. When we opened the door and walked in a horrid smell smacked us in the face. We were trying really hard to convince ourselves it was just one night and we could make it. We reserved the room on Hotels.com so we prepaid and cancelations were not allowed. The swing bar door lock was broken so the protection for two small ladies from the outside was a cheap, wobbly residential style lock. My traveling companion and I decided that we couldn't even sit on the beds, let alone sleep on them. The room just felt and smelled dirty! Now one might say "What do you expect from a Budget Inn or hotel that costs less than $80 a night" My response is we left this nasty place and drove on to Monroe and stayed at a very clean EconoLodge for the exact same amount of money. It was literally a waste of $75 but we decided our safety and a clean room was worth the loss.
