The Cabin at Big Elkin Creek Farm is a true oasis, tucked away in the foothills of NC. A genuine log home built in the 1800's, it is a fully furnished and completely updated. Located in the center of a beautiful 85-acre farm, the cabin is ideal as a couple's getaway, or perfect for families of up to six who would like to experience a taste of early pioneer days. Guests can enjoy wooded walking trails, farm animals, fishing in the pond, cozying up to the woodstove, or a simple sunrise from the rocking chairs on the front porch. Guests can choose the solitude of the farm, visit the nearby historic town and Yadkin Valley wineries, or take in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Parkway and North Carolina State Parks just minutes away. Great getaway!
Homeowners were very welcoming! Fresh eggs, canned jam and sooo much wildlife! Wish we could have stayed on the property more. Perfect for families that want the "farm" experience with a variety of animals with which to interact. Can't wait to bring my grandkids back soon.

Barbara and Chris are the consummate hosts. From check in to check out, going out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The cabin was clean, spacious and comfortable. We had a wonderful time and we look forward to returning.

Amazing cabin, host & stay!!
Great cozy cabin that offered the relaxation we wanted and needed!! Barbara was beyond kind in including my girl who wanted to see and help with all things farm animals!! Cabin had all the things we needed to enjoy our week. We all slept like babies in the comfy beds!! We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing getaway!!

The cabin is amazing. The modern updates make it better without taking away from the experience. My daughters absolutely loved everything from the cabin to the animals. Barbara and Chris were great hosts. Really made it feel like visiting family. Will definitely have to make our way back in the future.

Charming cabin in a quaint little oasis
We only spent two nights, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was charming and comfortable and the location overlooking a pond surrounded by nature made for a very peaceful and relaxing stay. The hosts were wonderful and everyone enjoyed stopping and saying hi to the goats, pony, donkey and horses every time we came and went. We also really enjoyed exploring the Elkin area. Thanks for everything!

Little paradise
This cabin was wonderful. It was just like the photos and so many simple details. It had everything to cook with, a boat for use on the pond and so much space to explore. The hospitality of the hosts were top notch and the fresh eggs and jam were soo appreciated and sweet. We will definitely be back. This is for sure our new home away from home to rewind and connect with the outdoors. The simple memories we made for Father’s Day are ones that will be cherished!

The cabin was perfect. Beautiful yard and pins, ducks greeted us daily. We loved sitting on the porch rocking chairs. I only wish I had more time to spend there.
